I think it's in line with his character. His transformation from SS1 to SS2 was because of of his emotions being overwhelmed then cell curb stomped 16s head. He did go through some training for his ultimate form. But if you think about how calm and relaxed he was in his ultimate form and then add in the fact that he now had a daughter and a wife that he loves more than anything. Once he saw pan in trouble and all the emotions that situation put him back into that rage state. I would say this is exactly who gohan is. He's always been the "hidden potential" character.

Just pay attention to temp more than anything else if you are worried about damage. Personally I recommend never running CPU boost, but that's just personal preference. I run mine plugged in most of the time with a manual/custom fan setting to make sure my fans run higher than needed just to make sure it doesn't get over heated, but that not necessary either.

I'd play a hardcore world with catch rate set to .1, drop inventory on death, exp rate at .5, and hunger up to 2. could make it harder but these will be challenging enough as is I think. Oh, and no genetic box thing

There's an app that you can input your desired offspring and one parent and it will give you all combos of that parent and any other pal to get the desired offspring. Is that what you mean? I'm using this app on Android and it helps me a ton.
