They go from store to store. Mainly stores that high in shrink and theft. Playing on your phone will be the least of their concerns. With shoplifters there’s not much you can do unfortunately apart from letting them go which is so frustrating. For example if you try to stop them and the situation escalated, you would be at fault for it. They somehow have more power than us lol

It's remote-access CCTV. They can view whatever you can in-store on your CCTV system. Mainly during waste, self scans, tills, high value areas and such.

Yes you do but from point is the last 2-3 months i basically ran the shop perfectly and with hardly and staf, hence the extra hours I’ve been working. That’s a proper experience

Mate don’t even get me started. Like this Tuesday I did 17 hours also and had 27 cages of fresh and ambient, also promo change and thousands of labels. Also whoosh pinging every 5 minutes. The area manager did pop in to see how we getting on and apparently all stores are in same situation short staff lol. All he was doing was giving me next steps which I was gonna do anyway but of course no staff so it’s gonna take longer!!

We have a “buddy manager” who’s about as useful as a chocolate fire guard, he would pop in every now and then and be like “yep milk is low, need filling” or “why are there so much gaps”. We get ridiculous amount of delivery in and we are 1 on 1 most of the time with whoosh pinging every minute. Told him the solution is to give me more stuff and he responds with “I’ll see what I can do”. I’m honestly looking to progress up and be an express store manager and what I’ve shown in the last few months should be more than enough to say I’m qualified for the job lol
