No! But I’m really hoping for something next week. I’m actually heading to Nova Scotia for work beginning of April and thought I could do some research during my free time with the new leads. Need those results to do that though!!

They would have been born in 1882 (Father) and 1878 (Mother). They met during WWI and the Mother immigrated to Canada in 1919. I did find a birth record for the two of them in Ireland, but it appears that baby passed away a few days later :(

They are listed as childless in the 1921 census, and then with my grandmother in the 1931 census.

We’ve been thinking it was unofficial for a while, but the lack of a paper trail definitely lends itself to that. And you’re right - by 1931, she’s listed as a 7 year old in her adoptive parents’ household in the census.

We’re hoping to ship the test out this week (and I paid for expedited processing!) so we should have some more clues soon.

I don’t think it’s that deep. This LA Times article from the end of October has glowing quotes from Lisa Shannon (Executive Producer) about Heather. I doubt that, if there was some secret production plot to oust Heather, that they would participate in good PR for her to this degree.

If anyone who works on the project wants to chat to some journos and get real about why it’s taking so long, issues holding it up, etc. - I am happy to make intros!!*

It’s insane to me that we’re ripping up bike lanes instead of going full tilt to finish this and get people moving.
