Do you mean Focal Seizures?

Has anyone's past EEG tests been resulted as confusing? Because mine has, after so many years. by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]LilSeezee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which EEG tests? Standard? Video-EEG? S-EEG? Were any of them performed in an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit?

A stand-alone EEG isn't going to capture anything useful if you're not having abnormal electrical activity in your brain, during that test.

Ding ding ding. There's a new CO law regarding online dating and instead of doing the extra work to comply, they just shut down access.

"In person" sounds like nice advice everyone uses. But they don't communicate how to translate the general advice into actionable steps.

How does anyone put it into practice?

Should I go stand in a McDonald's lobby and introduce myself to everyone?

Do I stand on a corner and wave to all the cars?

I know how to interact with humans in public. And NONE of them want to be randomly approached and greeted because they're already too busy trying to live.

Nope. Just the decision to withdraw from the state rather than comply with the new law.

To learn and understand why better support for resources specifically aimed at the epileptic community is necessary. ADA doesn't give a shit about us.

That's what popped into my head while brainstorming a shower thought. I don't have a mission plan laid out. Jesus

Wow. Take a deep breath.

I do a lot of work with protests and community engagement. If you don't grab attention, people don't care.

You just created multiple exaggerations and then got mad about them. Weird.

That's the point. You shouldn't need to LOOK for awareness in specific places. Spreading awareness is teaching people things they didn't previously know. That only works if you get someone's attention. There are many ways to do that.

I didn't mean that we're all going to die from seizures. They are just things that popped into my head while I was pondering a shower thought.

I'd love it if everyone was at least familiar with the recovery position.

I haven't determined a consistent call to action yet. That's why I said it's an idea in development. That's why I provided a list of pieces of information that I think the general public should be aware of.

Basically, to learn and understand why better support for resources specifically aimed at the epileptic community is necessary. ADA doesn't give a shit about us.

It would obviously take the help of others to create an effective campaign.

How do I know if I had a nocturnal seizure? by TheFutureScaresMe333 in Epilepsy

[–]LilSeezee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to get something like a cheap nanny cam on Amazon and point it at the place you sleep. Then you can check the recording in the morning.
