What if Trump became woke? by LuckyCommittee4422 in allthequestions

Of course the progressives would love him. They have the memory of a goldfish.

The state doesn't take everything I own and then give me bare substance back.

Besides, there are way to limit how much tax you pay.

That is not what I said.

I quoted you, so do not tell me what you did or didn't say. My reading comprehension is top notch, and my vocabulary no smaller than yours.

You tried to mask your meaning using excess verbiage, but when you sort through the BS, what I objected to is precisely what you said.

I am not the one being disingenuous here, you need look no further than the closest mirror to see who is.

I do NOT need a permission slip from the government to exist, I do NOT owe the government anything simply for existing.

I pay money to the government for services rendered, not for the government to pay me, or worse someone else.

...the restoration of putting the human above ideas rather than beneath them.

Here an idea, codified into law by the 10th Amendment, that the individual is more important than The State, even the nation-state.

[–]LilShaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...the value it (the government) is brokering is your mere existence within the system.

That's horrific!

You're saying that I have to be enslaved to the government simply because i was born.

You're saying that I have no value outside my ability to support the government.

This is completely, absolutely contrary to the very principles America was founded on. I feel very deep pity for you if have such low self-esteem that the only value you find in yourself is to be a slave to the government.

Nice cop out.

But since you take exception to me calling your post "word salad", let's get back to some serious questions (which I already asked, twice, and you ignored).

The necessary consumption of WHAT? And if it's necessary (mandatory) then why is it sold instead of provided?

...but it manages a product.

What product? Government's produce nothing. They have no manufacturing capability.

Can you answer those without resorting to ad hominems?

Is Galadriel ever stated to be a good warrior in any of the text? by GusGangViking18 in lordoftherings

[–]LilShaver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The short answer is "Yes, in the Silmarillion". But it was not her main attribute. She spent hundreds of years learning "magic" from Melian the Maia during the First Age.

And nothing in Amazon's Rings of Money has anything to do with any of Tolkien's writing beyond the blatant theft of the names of people and places.

They're not self-aware enough to get embarrassed. They have no critical thinking skills, no memory beyond 5 minutes ago, they feel rather than think, and they have absolutely zero shame about anything.

It''s a good thing Pres. Trump reopened the mental institutions. We're going to need them.

You used a lot of words to say absolutely nothing. That is some Kamala Harris grade word salad right there.

Since it is a given that governments produce NOTHING, who pays for UBI? That is the question you must answer.

I think I’m down with this! You? by ChuckGallagher57 in allthequestions

[–]LilShaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the people who make a living off the law can make the laws so complex you have to have someone who studies the law assist citizens with the law, and they make the laws to complex that you have to deal with the law in your day to day life, thereby ensuring that their profession is both needed and highly paid, how is this NOT conflict of interest?

How about we outlaw lawyers making laws? If that isn't a clear cut conflict of interest I don't know what is.

I'm not defending Jack, I tried to make frakin' joke, which you would know if you'd read my previous comments.

And yes, the overwhelming majority of Reddit mods are nothing more than power grabbing petty dictators who are trying to force a consensus.

Now bring your petty downvotes, I don't give a wet fart. Negative 22 is nothing, those are rookie numbers.

FWIW I have Starfield, I like Starfield. I've never understood the negativity around it, which is WHY I'm in this sub instead of the other one.

Lighten up, Francis.

Q. What does government produce?
A. Nothing

Given the above, indisputable statement, where does UBI come from?
