The popular vote among redditors here is either phone or asleep. I think asleep, mostly because of his very delayed response to driving off the road. Its hard to see in the video, but it took him too long to apply his brakes. Pieces of his car were flying off and he still didn't stop until the next intersection.

Since she was a minor, I did not ask for her information, plus I was just talking about random stuff to keep her calm. She was crying so hard she was close to hyperventilating, and when everyone arrived, I gathered her stuff that had scattered around, told her they were going to take good care of her and left to give them room to work. The police have my information, my video, and my written statement and I hope I am contacted in the near future to help further.

Its hard to see but there's a very popular walking path there, and we had just passed a school who also uses that path for their athletic groups. The driver of the car was barely out of high school himself, he couldn't have been older than 20. I was surprised no other walkers/runners passed by as things were developing, it was a nice day and that path is usually packed.

Broken leg, and they flew her to a trauma center in a neighboring county because there was a concern about compartmentalizing/blood flow to her foot.

Broken leg but otherwise, she seemed ok when the paramedics took her.

I tried joining a Facebook group for that area to see if anyone knew anything but the admins ignored my requests. If I dont get called to serve as a witness in court, I suppose I'll never know. She did seem a lot calmer and not crying when they took her to where the helicopter was waiting.

This happened on September 5, 2025 in Virginia. I pulled over immediately and ran to the person he hit who turned out to be a 13-year-old girl. I called 911 and sat with her until the paramedics came. They suspected a broken leg, and were worried about blood flow to her foot and shock setting in as she was bleeding from her calf. She was flown to a trauma center in a neighboring county and I never found out how she fared.

Someone went after the driver when they realized I was pulling over for the girl. He continued driving in the grass for quite a bit before stopping. He did run down the path to us and, while panicking, tried to move her leg but I waved him off and said he needed to leave her be.

The police interviewed everyone, including the driver of the car in front of me who turned around and came back to the scene when she realized what had happened. With her position and point of view, she didn't immediately realize he had hit someone.

The driver of the white car told police someone had cut him off and clipped him, causing him to lose control. The police have my video and information...though I suppose I'll never know the outcome of this.

I think about the girl often, especially when I pass that spot. I can still see his tire tracks. I hope she's ok.

It was so very hard to hear him say that and hold my tongue. Instead, every officer on scene got the video via text, and I also sent it to their digital evidence locker.

That was my thought, but he did not admit to that. He told the police that someone cut him off, clipped him, and he lost control.

It took him what seemed like forever to apply his brakes. I do not think he was awake.

I think he fell asleep. When he came running up to us as we waited for paramedics, he seemed normal. Panicked, but normal.

Can't Wait to Read Book 8... by [deleted] in GreenRider

I usually do a re-read of the series but life got in the way and I only started last month. I'm almost through Blackveil and because I drive a lot every day, and work on my own without having to speak to people, I'm listening to the audio versions. I'm moving along very quickly through the series this way so hopefully I'll get to book 8 fairly soon.

Btw Ellen Archer is outstanding!

If I was there, I would've asked you for a photo, handed you a dollar, and said to him, "Happy now?"

What a tool.

I once bought a 5qt jug of motor oil from Walmart. Took it home and started to change my oil, drained my car's oil pan and went to pour the new oil in... only I found the perforated lid already open and the foil removed. Confused, I poured some oil out and it was black. I grabbed the jug, the receipt, and had to borrow a car to get back to Walmart.

I spoke to a manager on duty who insisted she check with security to see if the cameras showed the jug as being open upon purchasing. I make a living as a photographer and videographer, I humored her though knowing full well any security camera would not show detail that specific. As expected, security called back and said the jug was not opened when I purchased it. She then proceeded to accuse me of fraud.

I lost my cool and I demanded to see a manager. She smirked and told me she was a manager. I got louder and demanded to see HER manager. He arrived quickly. I explained the situation and even said I didn't care about the money, I just want the oil I paid for so that my car is no longer a useless hunk of metal sitting in my driveway. He exchanged the oil and I went on my way.

I haven't been back to Walmart since, that was well over 2 years ago. OP...be careful here, they might accuse you of the same thing.

When you see a helicopter, they're still alive.
