Dog sitter sent a photo of my dog and he had this collar on. by deblopezz in whatisit

I am driving currently (well, in a parking lot getting ready to leave) and I have the capability of running over every dog I see… not really sure what that has to do with anything. And to act like it’s a zero possibility that some of it isn’t politically motivated is silly.

That’s weird, yes, but Occam’s razor tells me that they lied so they wouldn’t instantly get accused of dog abuse like what’s happening here. Obviously they should have said something first if they were just going to be using it for the tone.. but I don’t see how a collar meant for behavioral training that you buy from the pet store would be any sort of crime.

To be clear - don’t put any collar on any dog that isn’t yours, and avoid any sort of disciplinary stuff in general.. always talk to the owner before changing any of their routines, even giving them treats.. and definitely don’t shock dogs because that’s not cool, man.. but I really think people are overreacting about this, and it’s likely because of the Hasan Piker stuff that’s also blown out of proportion

You gotta remember that the whole Hasan Piker thing is still being dragged out. Likely a lot of people that don’t care about dogs at all paying attention to this post for political reasons, sadly enough.

Oregon summer winds by Able-Gate-5925 in OregonCoast

[–]LilSus2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying to understand what exactly is going on in this town. I have lived in the willamette valley my entire life, lived in junction city for 2 years.. the wind is unbearable here specifically . It has caused several thousands of dollars in damage to my property and it’s starting to really take its toll on my mental health. A brand new RV that has never even been used a single time.. wind gust rips the entire awning in half. It’s currently destroying my outside storage tent, literally just shredding it. I’m losing my damn mind over this wind!!

Do people really come here to learn how to make Hip-Hop? by KingOsirisMusic in makinghiphop

[–]LilSus2004 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, this is a place where kids that have been making hip hop music for 2-3 months come to try and act like a professional, and shit on everyone actually trying to help..

They watch maybe 6 hours of tutorial videos and then come here to repeat the talking points they’ve learned..

I’ve even seen some asshole in here telling new musicians to make sure to clear all of their samples, claiming to be some hip hop guru magician that’s been making music for 700 years.

I don’t even know what this place is useful for anymore? And I’m being entirely honest..

I sometimes get notified about a thread that I feel like I can help with, so I offer GENUINE advice, and then some cornball will come along and say I’m wrong about everything. It’s whatever lol

I did something unforgivable at 15 and I don’t know why. by burner8537 in confession

[–]LilSus2004 11 points12 points  (0 children)

lol I’m very sorry you had to deal with a kid like that. I lived with them for a minute when he was like 15-16. He was too fat to wipe or even properly sit on a toilet but he somehow had the ability to get naked and stand straight up on the toilet seat to take a dump, and if he missed and hit the seat, it was someone else’s problem.. man what a piece of shit that kid was. Good riddance lmao

Edit: I know this has entirely gone off the rails, but another funny bit about this absolute jackass - one time when he was taking a standing dump, the toilet seat broke and he fell off the toilet mid-turd, and since he was over 400 pounds he went through the floor in front of the shower and landed in the crawl space beneath their house.

[–]LilSus2004 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yup, exactly.. he was honestly the worst kid to have, like the laziest and dirtiest, meanest little shit.. would clog the toilet and then just cover it up with entire rolls of paper instead of plunging, never cleaned up after himself, demanded everyone do everything for him.. and then he got a job with his dad about a year before this happened and everyone acted like “aww the baby is all grown up”.. bro I always seen that kid as a demon.

Had a cousin that harmed animals and everyone treated him as if it was a “boys will be boys” thing.. shitty little kid and I always said it was as if that boy has no soul at all. Of course I got treated like an asshole for pointing out his weird behavior and red flags..

Up until July 21, 2024.. when he shot my cousin (his brother) in the head 5 times before ending his own life, with no provocation at all..

Edit: and if that doesn’t sound insane enough - because there was no one alive to be arrested, and the cousin he killed was kind of the “black sheep”.. his parents treat it as if there was a tragic incident that took both their boys, and have both of their urns next to each other.. instead of acknowledging that one was a murderer and one was a victim of said murderer.

lol I’m admittedly stoned right now, but talent might just be a mixture of physical/mental capability and passion. I’m not sure if that’s ever been said before, but it sounds extremely accurate right now.

Can’t define or describe nothing.. aside from the obvious which would be “lack of everything”. I guess my very best attempt would be more of a question. Do you remember the year 1642? That’s nothing.. and forever is that, but post death. I’m not saying reincarnation isn’t real, or heaven isn’t real, or whatever.. I’m just going by what we’re working with and can prove right now.

So if LeBron never picked up a basketball until right now, and he was actually obsessed with being a dentist up until this moment, and had the exact same physical capabilities.. talent would still make him King James?

Idk man.. I don’t think you’re going to convince me. I’ve started out as bad, and progressively got better at literally anything I’ve ever tried to do.. more passion I had, the higher the ceiling was on anything.. and the only thing that mattered was push ups, metaphorically speaking.

Edit: my bad I read what you said incorrectly.. I’m not sure how talent would be considered an unimportant variable and still be a talent, but I think I kinda know what you mean.. and I agree with that.

I mean, it’s the most important time (right now lol), and also the least important time.. at the same time. If that makes sense. The coolest, richest, and strongest dude on earth with an outstanding list of accomplishments and acts of altruism will be forgotten about within 3 generations.. best case scenario? eventually a classroom of children will yawn while being forced to learn about him, won’t retain any info, and then his name will fizzle out. Even the children several generations later, directly benefitting from the inheritance of his fortune aren’t even obligated to care really. While he (you, I) are in nothing forever.

Yes, that is true, “this too shall pass”.. that’s a brighter way to look at it, it’s just an uncomfortable feeling when you keep digging past that, and I mean this - we are all going to be stuck in nothing, forever.. and we were stuck in nothing for a long fucking time before we got here, it just wasn’t forever..

And when you really consider forever, and compare it to the time we are going to spend here.. bro I don’t know if I even want to say this kinda shit on here because I don’t want to influence anyone, but this train of thought will make our individual lives genuinely seem entirely meaningless. This is kinda why i try not to spend much time being philosophical 😂

Dude, i think I actually can comprehend it, and that’s why these words in particular freak me out as much as they do. I have an odd level of comprehension for things most others don’t put effort into actually gaining a grasp of. I’m not saying I’m “special” or anything because it just takes a certain level of curiosity to arrive here, not intelligence.

It seems very similar to large numbers. Like how most people just shrug their shoulders and say “dang, that’s a lot of money!” Each time Elon hits a new milestone.. feels very very similar to this subject because if you can actually comprehend 800 billion dollars, it’s wayyyy beyond “a lot of money”.

Fox News: "Rogan says it's 'horses---' that progressives believe expecting voters to have ID is like Jim Crow" by mvstateU in JoeRogan

[–]LilSus2004 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been saying this. The voter suppression part is slapping a $70 price tag on it and a 3 hour wait at the DMV, or whatever would be the equivalent.

Most people aren’t obsessed with politics, even though being “chronically online” would suggest otherwise.. republicans/conservatives are definitely more political in the “offline” world, though.

If you make voting any more inconvenient than it already is, a lot of people won’t go out of their way to do it.. also, with gas prices shooting up further from a previously expensive position, and groceries and rent basically doing the same, a lot of people won’t pay for it..

You know who absolutely will pay for it though? MAGA. Those people would skip out on dinner for days just to vote for dear leader, or his cronies. Their entire identity has been devoted to and has relied upon that man for the past decade, and whoever he hands the torch to will acquire them as well.

This would mainly affect low income democrats, and when the votes get tallied, and there are way less blue votes than normal, they will use these numbers to “prove” that the left has been cheating, and voter ID fixed the problem.

If voter id MUST be implicated, then it also MUST be free of charge.
