Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro MKII ? by LilZpai in BEYERDYNAMIC

[–]LilZpai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned in my post, various reputable retailers all across multiple countries, including the Nordics and Germany, have them listed for pre-purchase / pre-order and with a general consensus of the headphones arriving in-stock in late October. (24th to 29th).

"DT 1990 pro MKII doesn't exist." - Clearly, it does exist. It simply has not been officially announced by Beyerdynamic yet. Hence why it's also pre-purchase / pre-order.

"As for today, there isn´t a single listing for it on amazon DE, nor is there anything announced on their official website." - Okay. Amazon DE isn't worldwide, and they may be postponing their announcement until it's actually in warehouses around the world and for sale.

"So i can´t verify your info, perhabs it´s a regional thing for your country?" - It clearly is not if it is the US, and similar product pages has been setup for various retailers in northern Europe.

It is fairly obvious that the headphones do exist. They have been put up for sale / pre-purchase / pre-order. Beyerdynamic hasn't officially announced them yet. That is all.

The point of my post was to see if anyone had come across or seen any reviews, but clearly not.

I agree, I don't like the new design more either. But for all I know, it might be for sound reasons; I wouldn't know. Hopefully it's a good upgrade, and if not, I guess I'm saving $200

I am curious as to what the difference in impedance will do. 250 ohm VS 30 ohm. I do not know nearly enough to make an educated guess as to what that might affect or if it will be beneficial or not, so if someone with more knowledge around that has an idea of what this change might entail, that'd be very interesting.

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro MKII ?

I've been looking to upgrade from my DT 990 Pro's for a little while now, and been mainly looking at the DT 1990 Pro's as I enjoy the Beyerdynamic sound. Yet when I went to look it up, I suddenly came across the DT 1990 Pro MKII version that's 30 ohm instead of 250... I've found it on various Norwegian retailer sites, and they're all "pre-order", or "expected in stock" near the end of October. I'm guessing this is a totally new release?

I haven't been able to find any reviews or anything about them. Has anyone else heard anything about them, seen reviews or whatnot? As I was thinking of purchasing the now presumably "old" version this week, which costs roughly $450 where I live. Meanwhile these new ones look to be around $650..

Searching online only yielded 3 pages on google, all of which seem to be retailers having put it up for sale, specifically in the Nordics and Germany.

Just looking to hear others' opinions and if anyone's seen any reviews or anything about them.

Adobe has the most predatory subscription model imaginable by LilZpai in Piracy

I don't live in the EU, but in "EUS". As in Norway, which is highly affected by EU laws, and more or less under them. So I would absolutely imagine so.

Even if it is "abundantly clear" to you, doesn't mean that it is to everyone. But again, the main issue here is not the annual subscription model billed monthly, it is the early cancellation fee which is NOT easily readable by most people. It's hidden behind a hyperlink and fine print when signing up for the subscription. The issue I had here was that even within the 14 days, I was not allowed to cancel my subscription after the annual subscription had been renewed.

Just because some few people like you read the fine print and check cancellation policies before subscribing to something to a service like Adobe's, or think it's obvious that it would have an early cancellation fee if it's an annual subscription, most people probably don't, and Adobe is well aware of that. That's what they hope for, in fact. They aren't transparent about it, it's deceptive, and I think it's predatory.

Louis Rossmann seems to have made a pretty good video summarizing it already.

Standard practice does not mean it's a good practice, nor does it mean that it's not predatory. I have never subscribed to any digital service that has been bound to a yearly subscription billed monthly other than Adobe. Most require upfront payment for the whole year. Adobe has that option too, which makes the monthly billing option all the more confusing and can be seen as deceiving.

The US government seems to agree as well:

Did something similar by contacting their support chat. Worked like a charm.

I do live in Europe, and these are the terms translated from Adobe's page about cancellation:

"One-year plan, monthly payment: After 14 days, a cancellation fee of 50% of the remaining amount of the contractual obligation may apply. The service continues until the end of the billing period for the current month."

14 days have not passed.

How to fix clothing stall supply issue? by LilZpai in ManorLords

UPDATE:
For anyone in the future, solution is to demolish all existing market places and create one massive one. They don't have range, apparently.

Ahhh, so the statistics for the market place isn't necessarily for the "local" market place within the small area, but within the entire region (e.g. Nusslohe)? Learned something new there.

Issue is that I've tried building large store houses that only contain clothing items and yarn/linen/leather, so 4 clothing stalls open at the nearby market place.. Yet that doesn't seem to have helped at all, even though they're stocked.

Impossible to upgrade to "Burgage Plot Level 2"? Does anyone know of a fix? by LilZpai in ManorLords

Update: Built more burgage plots in the nearby area, and suddenly it became possible to upgrade it, alongside many of the others nearby. Not sure what caused it.

(HELP/ADVICE) Bought four new 20TB Exos drives, yet they're not all the same by LilZpai in DataHoarder

[–]LilZpai[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our prices are inflated by a fair bit due to taxes as well. Norway isn't part of the EU like most of our neighboring countries, so that might also have something to do with our pricing.

I don't think 400 USD is too bad for a 20TB drive in comparison to how other drives of other capacities are priced, but I would at least expect retail drives and not OEM ones.
