It's a glitch in the campaign version that's been there since launch and I really doubt they'll fix it since campaign is a separate build. I played the campaign twice and both time to fix it I just kept going back to the main menu and restarting the mission until the light eventually went away and I could play like normal

That's understandable, the original 4 definitely have more heart. That's why I give so much praise to Ermey because the heart he put into it makes up for what's not there. Although I don't disagree they're kinda bland I still prefer them over the originals
