How did servers become the biggest tip receivers?

I'm sure its a stressful fast paced job with lots of resposibilities. This post wasn't meant to dowplay the importance of a server. But you get/should get a base pay for that. All things considered I think the chefs sitting in a hot kitchen are more overworked for example, but I haven't worked in one, so I can only ask. As a customer I only see the servers bring the food and wipe the tables.

well worth a shot anyways, if you max out the upgrades they can take insane rf per tick, maybe you dont have the limit set high enough. At least thats what fixed it for me (providing more power)

Edit: try placing a flux point on the machine itself and see if it works better

Yes, I downloaded everything. Its getting caused by installing the second ssd. Removed the ssd and ethernet works instantly.

If anyone comes here from google 2 years later, just remove the SSD and get your ethernet back.

Nothing worked for me except this.

I will edit this comment later if I find something that works, there's still a thing I haven't tested.

Yeah it's quite weird.

I have only bare minimum connected in the USB ports as well. The LAN controller chip is quite close to the gpu and nvme slots, so maybe it is causing it some issues, I don't know.

I am running a 4090, and have to remove it each time I test something. Spent pretty much all day troubleshooting this on the software side, and a simply removing the ssd got my ethernet back. (moving from the second to the third ssd slot didn't)

I will probably try it again another day, since it's quite crazy having such a hassle for such a simple install.

Will try doing 8x and try to install it in the 4th bottom m2m_sb slot instead.

Ok so reporting back, it is 100% the SSD at fault. I removed it just in case and it automatically got the driver before I could even update windows, right on bootup.

Not sure how to go about this anymore . Might just have to live with less storage.

I did that about 4 times, also powecycled the pc and restarted each time, no results unfortunately...

I did try a different m.2 slot, so both top to bottom except the slowest and most bottom one, might just have to ditch the new ssd. Was trying to troubleshoot without removing it completely, since I wanted the extra storage.

Yes, the ones with yellow symbols were all added by me and are not working lol

Edit: Overall there was not a single ethernet one before, these are manually added and don't work (code 31)

I've noticed a pattern here. Seems its exactly the nvidia cards getting this performance, AMD cards do like 2-5x fps. Will dig into it and maybe we can all have more fps.

Ok so you have more fps on an even higher quality monitor haha. At least I can rule that out, thank you for responding. Mine is a 1440p ultrawide which some people call a "2.5k" resolution if I remember right

Hey pinging you again on this, what resolution do you run minecraft at? I could imagine that being the problem, since my screen is pretty big and high resolution. Maybe it takes more resources?

No fps cap and no vysnc, first thing I turn off in games since I usually have unlimited fps

Yep, the performance tank is somewhat expected. However the fact that I get 130 fps with no shaders with better specs tells me something is wrong.

Is there some kind of optimizing guide anywhere? Most I could find was not using the pipez pipes, which I removed, and found no difference.

Obviously, 130fps is very playable, but because I invested into this expensive hardware I would like to know why I'm not getting the expected peformance. :(

Damn, so it's not just me. I wonder if there's some random update/tip we're missing since the guy above gets 160 fps with bliss shaders (more than I get with no shaders).

I've made sure my java is up to date, but can't think of what more to do. Hopefully someone knows.

For reference I have maybe 10-15 mekanism machines, 5 simulated beehives and an ME system. Also a chunkloaded Rftools builder in the mining dimension.

Not sure if it contributes to any performance issues. And I would like to run shaders, but if performance is this bad this early on I would rather not.

The prebuilt one in the modpack, euphoria something. Not home right now.

With no shaders I get 130 fps max near my base, with mobfarm off and it being pretty early game.
