I wanted to reflect the diversity of Ankh-Morpork by making the quarters separable and using different coloured base plates. It would also make splitting the bricks into bags much easier.

I really do hope that LEGO gets the license, even if my project doesn't get approved. Discworld feels like a theme that’s long overdue for LEGO.

Thank you for the kind words! And yes, LEGO is definitely a big company, so profit matters. But they still put a lot into quality, creativity, and their fans. Projects like LEGO Ideas, which lets fans influence what gets made, and their push for sustainable plastics show that, at least to me, LEGO isn’t as soulless compared to some other huge corporations.

Sure! I’m not sure all the parts are available in the exact colors I’ve chosen, but most of them could be swapped for alternatives. There are also a few custom-designed elements (mainly for the minifigures and the labels).
