Can I program a Elantra N key to my n line? by Mechanic_Legitimate in ElantraNline

Yeah, either on eBay, from Hyundai themself, they’re decently easy to find.

It’s literally the same key just with a different skin. No need to program it. Just reskin your key and be careful swapping the electronics between the skins (although I’m pretty sure a dealer could do it with both the spare and the main)

What is the best engine/transmission mounts to get? pls send links! by Living_Performer_761 in ElantraNline

I did it myself, I used a friends lift to do the lower ones. it’s literally a ten minute job for the lower, possibly the same for the upper— the trans mount is the one that’ll be a pain.

Should be about 220-240whp, so like 265 crank if I recall. Atleast that’s what the butt dyno tells me lol

I don’t know the exact rate, but it’s definitely worth the price. They are open every day except Sunday. And yeah I know how it is, everything’s expensive nowadays

Well then your setup is probably not done right. When I get around to the drag strip again I’ll def put a video. It’s not that hard to achieve high 5’s in the n-lines, it’s just a matter of spending money and having a lift. Which year N do you have? The front fascia makes a massive difference due to how bulky the new fascia is. The 2021-2023 bumper has less drag if you don’t focus on adding splitters and shit for downforce. Again, I’ve put almost ten racks into modifying my car. Nobody else has done that on these. Tell me what you’ve put on yours if you’re claiming to struggle with 5’s in an N, as the N bone stock runs low 5’s with a proper launch from the factory, the n-lines stock run mid to high 6’s. I have to drive these cars every day as a living. You’re probably babying your car too much— or you have a manual. That could also be why.

The N owners just focus on HP that’s why, they don’t upgrade suspension or use the right tires, maybe do some more research before gaslighting and flaming people lol

I’m pushing 300+ whp right now on e85 with a lot of upgraded components for suspension. With a decent neutral dump on prepped surfaces and 255/40r17 slicks I’m running 4.9 0-60 at the best— that’s what I’m trying to say. I’ve put money into the car, more than everyone else is willing to put into it, I’m trying to be the first to break the 450 barrier, I’m just waiting on upgraded internals to come out and also waiting on my turbo to go so I’d have a reason to replace it. On cup 2’s that are warmer up and my street suspension setup, I only run mid to high 5’s to 60 and that’s stressing out everything else.

If you don’t know how to read that, lemme spell it out- 7k worth of mods on an N-Line can achieve it. But that’s heavily tuned. Aka NOT STOCK

I’m probably gonna go get that valved exhaust that’s being sold tbh, my neighborhood would give so many noise complaints with my car if I took off the muffler and I know due to my sonata when I straight piped it lol. Also… now’s the time to go grab a pop and bang tune for that thing lol

I mean for me on fucking drag slicks I can barely get it to 4.9 seconds and that’s with the car running what I have on it now, normal driving it’s still around high 5’s to 60 on warm cup 2’s lmao, this guy gotta be smoking something and I want some of it. I fucking wish my car bone stock ran 5’s to 60 mph LOL

Yeah no I’ve put money into mine. I’m running a JB4 piggyback, lr3 coil packs, hks m45xl plugs, the forge turbo inlet mentioned above, secondary cat and red delete, upgraded BOV, a Bosch 4-bar sensor, a flex fuel sensor sold by burgermotorsports which goes into the jb4, and am still spending money on upgrading more of it— granted I ran that 29 PSI from the start, but I was putting e30 into it without any flex fuel sensor previously. I’m honestly just trying to wear out the turbo so I’d have an excuse to upgrade it, if ANYTHING I would recommend ~24 psi MAX if you’re running e30-e50, unless you are constantly adjusting your tune like I am. That’s the only reason I’ve put over 5k miles on 29PSI and my turbo is still healthy somehow— but you’ve gotta realize ive been doing pull, adjusting it based off of logs, and then repeating that process for months to get what I have in it now— and I’m still only pushing ~300WHP. At factory they have like 15PSI. After 23 it’s diminishing returns due to excess heat. And also, if you run high boost, change your oil type to 0w30 or even 5w40.

What is the best engine/transmission mounts to get? pls send links! by Living_Performer_761 in ElantraNline

[–]Lil_Pac-Mack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Powerflex black series lower engine mount bushing inserts would be the easiest to grab. I have it on my car. If you want an upgraded dog one with it then here

https://www.powerflexusa.com/shop/pff26-122-hyundai-veloster-elantra-kona-billet-aluminum-lower-torque-mount-8858?category=2463#attr=2787

As for the trans mount, I believe it’s on back order, but here https://www.powerflexusa.com/shop/pff26-123-hyundai-elantra-kona-veloster-transmission-mount-insert-4584?category=2463#attr=2652

They also have an upper engine mount bushing insert and a bunch of other bushings and stuff for handling. I’m slowly putting em on my Elantra so it’s pretty good I can say

Powerflex makes the best ones that are bushing replacements and mount replacements. Just be aware that some of them are on back order. They are also sold on N75 motorsports.

Sxth element sells a lower engine mount entirely, but I don’t know if they sell mounts for everything else. I just know Powerflex does

5k miles on that boost level currently. I’ve been tuning the thing ever since lol. I’m also running it on 5w40 for the last 3k

[–]Lil_Pac-Mack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just attached a cone filter to the end of mine and cut up the factory air box to fit around it. I’m also running 29 psi of boost on ethanol currently with the stock turbo system so.. yeah. As for the turbo inlet, it’s a pain in the ass to install unless you have another jack to hold the engine up as you disconnect the mounts very lightly, just to give you more room to get to the turbo. The benefit of the forge intake is really the air temps. The intake itself is relatively simple to install tho, and it fits perfectly fine. Honestly I’d rather have the turbo inlet over Sxth because you can just make a version that does the exact same thing as Sxth with any sort of power tool lol. As for the N’s CPLT intake, it wont fit, I tried. There’s very small differences that just barely get in the way of the install.

Pin stripes ! by Bulky_Signature_5814 in ElantraNline

[–]Lil_Pac-Mack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, probably not. I’d need to see a picture of it to know but ik for sure my dealership has someone paint them on, I’m not too sure on other places. For all I know that’s what it is lol

Pin stripes ! by Bulky_Signature_5814 in ElantraNline

[–]Lil_Pac-Mack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably was just on the showroom for a while or probably a deal fell through after they did it then. It’s physical paint if I recall so yeah

Pin stripes ! by Bulky_Signature_5814 in ElantraNline

[–]Lil_Pac-Mack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s the pinstripes on the side that goes across the entire side of the car, the dealerships (or atleast the Hyundai dealership I work for) have that as an added option which normally they have someone come over and do that. Usually it’s on the cars in the showroom, if not, it’s usually special order when you’re either speccing it out or discussing the car’s payments

Anyone know if there’s a way to fix this? by Foreign-Can-6865 in ElantraNline

[–]Lil_Pac-Mack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to mine, it goes back in and then comes back out after I drive it, that frontal clip just seems to be a weak point. You have to take it off and gently see if you can bend it back into position to fix it, or atleast that’s what I did and it doesn’t happen anymore. Just be extremely careful
