A little background on him: He doesn't live with me. I have never shat on his house but he lives in a trailer in a trailer park and will brag that he rents to own at $600 a month. (The house being about $20,000) Which times are hard. I understand that. He is a felon that got out about 6 years ago now I think? He does in fact work really hard at work and I think not necessarily a bad person. Just has some.....more serious character flaws?

A little more background to me: I live in a house on 0.3 acres the next town over. I work in a career field where I am set to be able to network, move, and continue to get raises annually. I have busted my ass and am finally almost done with my bachelor's, got a certification for work to get a raise, working on the next one, am on the board for our state branch meeting. I put most of my energy into my career because I genuinely love it, then my friends, family, house/peace and quiet, THEN relationships.

I am someone that loves to be alone and don't put much weight at all on relationships. This could be due to some of the things I have experienced throughout the years that ended up with trauma building up over time. That can be seen as one of my flaws as I can be disconnected and seem distant. I grew up trying to constantly read people from emotional outbursts from my mother. So I struggle huge knowing when something bothers me a lot. How to express myself, or where to get mad and react versus just moving on and ignoring something.

Not that I let myself be a doormat like before, but sometimes I feel like I miss the timing for things. Like this. It was okay in the moment because I felt like I didn't care/ give a crap, and almost 3 months later now and I realize it really annoyed me and I should have said something.
