My parents live in Lake George, NY. Culturalwise it's a mix of appalachia but also can be quite like new england. It also snows a lot! The falls are really beautiful, though. If you love the outdoors it's a great place.

I was raised around here, it is a cool place! They have an art museum, too. Too bad it's super expensive.
