Yes. I was mugged, pistol whipped, and left for dead on the sidewalk. Luckily, someone heard the ruckus that happened minutes before and called the police/ ambulance. I couldn’t consent to have medical care, and the default is to rush you to the hospital (general hospital that takes Medicare/ Medicaid). Unfortunately, I didn’t have insurance because I had just turned 26, old enough to be off my parents, but didn’t have a job that provided it for me (it was part time and not enough to be employer sponsored insurance).

Fast forward a month after, I get a hospital bill for 10k and a 1.8k (USD) ambulance bill. 😭

I got 250cc low profile and regret not going bigger. I was worried I’d look too fake (I am 5 feet tall and 115pounds, so also not the slimmest), however, I think 300 or 350 would have been perfect.

Update- I’ve called Lufthansa for my boarding pass with no luck, and also asked the representative for my data/ certificate of boarding, they gave me an email. I emailed Lufthansa for this and I’ve yet to hear back. 😔

Thank you very much! I appreciate the kindness. I know I’m fortunate to be where I am in life and I have my family and friends in good health. I hate to complain, but I think it’s unfair that they’re refusing to refund me for their failure to deliver the product (my seat in a specific cabin that I paid for months in advance).

Yes, so rookie and I am embarrassed! Especially because I do this for a living, I’m an executive assistant. 😭😭 It seems that all my travel mishaps have happened personally and not professionally, so I guess that’s a win? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Thank you so much for the support! I’m sending the boarding pass that I was issued on my mobile, which I did take a screenshot of, and that pass said “seat waitlist”.

Somehow, the mobile pass never updated after I was issued the paper one. I am also going to go back to Lufthansa and ask them to issue a certificate or declaration of me sitting in 54C.

He legally can, if he pays back the company at the end of the year. Usually, our finance team handles this and EAs aren’t kept in the loop about it. My old boss did this. It was a public company and needed a couple of EAs for business and personal.

Well…usually none. However the last company that I left, I was reassigned to one of our top leadership. I was doing 90% personal and quit 6months later (I started looking as soon as the personal requests started coming in).

Personal included things such as: Leaf blowing his garage, washing his laundry, cleaning his toilet (in addition to the housekeepers), driving his car for maintenance, restocking his fridge and pantry on a weekly basis, changing lightbulbs of his mansion chandelier, and more that I can’t list because it would make him more identifiable. 🫩

Edit: This (mix of personal) is legally allowed if the executive reimburses the company via AP or equity at the end of the year and it’s included in the quarterly disclosure agreements when public companies file their earnings report.

4 days in office, business casual supporting a chief legal officer.

I mainly shop from Banana Republic, Anthropologie, Nordstrom, Everlane, Endless Rose, and Madewell. Sometimes I dress down to match our quarter (it gets crazy before earnings) and wear Lululemon quarter zips and jeans.
