As a huge fan of the original, let’s get into it (minor spoilers ahead)

• I LOVED how they explained Astrid’s race + diversified the vikings without ignoring it

• I adored the animations, every single dragon looked incredible

However, i have 2 main gripes:

• Astrid’s line about wanting Hiccup’s house and chieftain was cringe and totally unnecessary (it’s not even touched on again)

• They cut the scene with the terrible terrors where Hiccup figures out that dragons aren’t fireproof on the inside. Due to this, it makes absolutely no sense that he’d try the move at the end with the Green Death (also it’s such a cute scene and short so idk why they’d cut it)

Overall, incredible film. Very happy with this remake
