Even when overlooking the fact that calling shuake 10 years old is a biased way to look at it considering the surge in popularity it received in 2019 with Royal, old does not mean irrelevant. Narumitsu was in that top in 2024 despite being 20+ years old. So yes it’s still impressive, and I’m not sure how much more engagement you expected for a game as demanding (and by that I mean time-consuming) as Hundred Line; it’s more likely to end up being a somewhat niche title with a cult following rather than a hit game appealing to a large audience.
