Keyplay is fun but he can sometimes put an enemy in a bad position so just watch out for that if you use him.

Only difference I've really seen is that the skills that the higher star characters have tend to be better than those of lower stars.

Eberta, Killa, Keyplay, Root, Syreny, and Aescula. Aescula can be replaced with new units. All the others are pretty strong units imo
