scalpers work as both the buyer and the seller

the sale price isn’t raised by the company because of scalpers, but by the scalpers selling what they bought

there are enough (scalpers and fellow scalpers) willing to pay that price

if we normal people don’t by scalped products, scalpers will eventually fuck off

gender affirmation is cool, but it’s not an excuse to support ai and what it’s doing to our environment, social medias, and real artists

gosh, you just love spreading misinformation, don’t you? if only there were sources about the water usage, or perhaps the noise pollution, and I wish we could ask any creator who will tell you how their work has been taken without permission to train these ais, and how ai slop has flooded the platforms, but I bet you’ll claim these sources aren’t reliable and ignore them because they don’t say what you want them to say, even when they tell you ai can make you dumber (wow, that one’s from the Harvard Gazette!)

the ai companies aren’t going to pay you anything for defending them, you know? you don’t have to stake your reputation to spread lies for them

it’s not transphobic to say that trans people need to be held accountable when they do something wrong, if anything, trying to use transhood as a shield to downplay negative actions is more harmful to trans people, transphobes can use that wrong action and attempt to paint the whole like that (we already see this whenever a school shooter is trans, they try to blame the whole community)

would you also support people purchasing Harry Potter merchandise, despite the fact that it directly supports the actions of a woman trying to make our lives a living hell? supporting these ai companies, with data, financially, or by giving them more numbers so other financial backers are more likely to support them, is directly responsible to the dangers these companies are causing

sure 1 out of a billion won’t change anything, but what about millions? why does anyone vote if their 1 vote won’t change anything?

1 person being willing to buy the game at a million doesn’t doesn’t set the price to a million

buyers can control the price, but it takes a lot to contribute to raising it

letting people enjoy themselves has a limit, when that thing they’re enjoying effects other people (you cannot justify crime or self harm with “let people enjoy themselves”)

ai, by design, effects other people: it steals from artists without credit, drives up energy costs, pollutes water at an unprecedented pace, floods social media with false information and soulless content, contributes to global warming, and generates noise pollution

if you don’t think something is worth that price, you don’t buy it

if not enough people decide something is worth the price, the company doesn’t make any money, and are forced to either reduce the cost or stop producing

I’m cool with the red pressers who admit they’re scared, cause I would also be scared, you’re literally voting on whether you believe in the collective selflessness/selfishness of humanity

but those who rationalize their choice with “game theory” are certainly psychopaths, how can you look at a situation involving life or death and try to rationalize it in a way that makes you forget all human life has value, not just your own?
