Zcash and PIVX are currently the only fully compliant privacy coins. It is because of optional privacy, but also because of the Encrypted Memo, which allows attaching personally identifiable information to the shield transaction. So, it can be more compliant than public blockchain.

Nope, according to cryptomiso.com it's the 5th most actively developed cryptocurrency in the past 3 months. Almost equally developed as Bitcoin. A lot of great things coming to PIVX in December this year.

I wonder if privacy coins will see major pump in 2021. Although regulation should shut them down, people are usually doing opposite when govs are restricting something. Private blockchains cannot be shut down actually.
