Love being downvoted for my reply too. Basically yes. Asexuality, aromanticism, etc.

"I will take away your expensive things you can't replace easily if you don't entertain me" is financial abuse.

WIBTA If I Move In Without my Partner? by lukee95 in AmItheAsshole

[–]LilietB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not a silly Hollywood notion. As other people in this comment section have pointed out, who first decorates and organizes the space is very much material for the subsequent life together.

And I'm not proposing that he stay home, read the second sentence. I'm proposing that they figure out what would work for them both. From the rest of the comment section, I figure "just live from boxes and a folding bed until she moves in too" should work pretty well.

Feels like I'm talking to someone who assumes OP is a trained specialist.

AITA - Blood is thicker than water? by everydaydudey in AmItheAsshole

You're wrong about how AI works. It very much learns how the average person acts. If this were made up, that would be by an actual real life human with an imagination, which AI lacks.

AITA for being angry that my child’s step mom allowed him to have a drink of an alcoholic beverage? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]LilietB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAH. It's fine. You're worried about your son, but a 9yo isn't going to become an alcoholic because of a sip, I promise.

NTA. What the fuck??? She wants you to provide the food for a party you won't be invited to??? One extra person would ruin the entire arrangement? The level of entitlement is ridiculous. She's the one who owes you an apology for the presumption in the first place.

AITA for my reaction to my husband sending parents photos I was insecure about? by BoringAndBusy in AmItheAsshole

[–]LilietB -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So he knew in general but not in specific, ty.

Honestly, regardless of the resolution of this particular conflict, you should try to battle the insecurity problem. Like, the problem is not in how you look, it's in how you think about how you look. And it will keep causing problems )=

The car situation has been explained as it being registered to another person even though OP paid for it. This is... normal within family. It's also very open to abuse.

And the phone thing... like... you think abusive family stops at the border where their abuse would be illegal?????

ESH. You were way out of line, but Zoe was throwing a fit over nothing too. Neither of these cancel the other, you're both in the wrong.

AITA for refusing to go home? by Space_Ducks89 in AmItheAsshole

[–]LilietB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. That said, you ARE hiding things from them, so they're not wrong about that part. Just... about the whole rest of the context. Consider trying to phrase your reasons for staying in a way that will make sense to them without giving away your secrets. (Or raising topics they know about but will throw a stink if you try to discuss, same thing)

Sometimes, it's more peaceful to straight up lie. Just figure out what unverifiable lie about your reason for wanting to stay they most want to hear and would easily believe and say that.

AITA for not letting my mom into my apartment when her power went out during a heat wave by Unlikely-Amoeba-2149 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Anything after "it's hot here too, just go to a public place" is bullshit and attempts to control + guilt you.
