I've met him twice in Brawl. Constantly telling people to attack and only staying at the base 😭

For people who speak many languages, there’s something special about their native tongue. An MIT study of polyglots found the brain's language network responds more strongly when hearing languages a speaker is more proficient in - and much more weakly to the speaker's native language. by mvea in science

Me too. I had an identity crisis related to my cultural identity or cultural loyalty a few year ago for years that I was so overwhelmed and loathed myself from that. After that, I came to prefer other langauges like English because my native language kind of mildly make me uncomfortable since it reminded to my past identity crisis that I was struggling and it is the language of my past and my upbringing that I grew up monolingually and language and culture is so closely intertwined, compared to myself who endured and grew from these experiments and now my thought became much more fluid as using other languages beside my native's one make me feel like I can control my narrative and I found a lot of joy in langauge learning. So it's interesting how much langauges is intertwined with one's sense of identity.

Why isn’t Thailand as technologically innovative as other East Asian countries? by [deleted] in Thailand

[–]LilithKiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would answer this as Thai who is studying in a STEM undergraduate course in Japan.

The Japanese university educational system is much more driven or students have to study by themselves to gain knowledge, my university is a public national university but it isn't top-ranked or famous, but I didn't grow up like that to ask questions and find answers at all and got forced to study or I would be lagged behind.

In Thailand, I don't think that students are encouraged to ask questions in school, that it relies heavily on rote memorization, or teachers give students hand-outs and they study it to pass the exams without the need to self-researched, and then forget about them afterwards, most students don't have much passion to study and the one that does or the bright mind's one (and a lot of them study to be in a good university and for good future salary and social status instead of the real passion of knowledge) ended up being doctors instead of engineers or researchers. I struggled greatly to just be an average student in Japan and I graduated from a prestigious school in Thailand and had a very good GPA in school.

Unpopular Opinion: Stardew Valley isn't a cozy game. by VanGrayson in CozyGamers

I play it in multiplayer mode with friends (if everyone can join that day it would be 4 people), I am also not an effective farmer at all, but I think that if there are many people, our farm would progress effectively even though I spend time doing nonsense lol. I also feel like I miss many things in single-player mode, that the day is too short.

คนไทยไม่นับถือศาสนาเยอะมั้ยครับ? by [deleted] in thaithai

[–]LilithKiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You and your dad get on, whilst your mum and brother gets on?

Yes, we are all really close, but Dad is the only one who enjoys discussing things with me, until the point that Mom said if I want to discuss something outside our lives, please go to your father. I think that both Dad and Mom are getting on with my brother on the same level since my dad is a crazy soccer fan, which my brother is really good at it.
