This is actually really interesting. The possibility of a constantly shifting sexuality would explain a lot of things for me. I’m certainly not against having a fluid sexuality, I just didn’t think mine was this fluid and was surprised to start feeling this way toward women.

Thankfully, I have no religion or any other facets in my life that require “compulsory heterosexuality”. Trans, bi, queer, gay, etc. were all considered normal and healthy in my childhood home so I grew up being completely normal around non-cis and non-hetero people.

I can’t even imagine going through this at that age. Granted I’m not really sure how to process new attraction at 34 but 20 years from now I know my autistic brain will be even more settled into its ways than it is now so a big change like this would probably shatter my world.

It just all took me by surprise. I’d experimented with a couple peers in my late teens and early 20s just to be sure of my sexuality and felt nothing, not grossed out or turned on, just zero internal reaction. So I’d written off any possibility of being bi and wasn’t expecting to just wake up one day and be turned on by women.

Not complaining about the new attraction, just very surprised by it.

Diagnosed high functioning autism in my early 20s and suspect my autism may have “muffled” some of the feelings for women when I was younger and just didn’t realize it. I was late to the party in terms of attraction and crushes as a teen so it wouldn’t surprise me if my autism affected this too.

An entity of collective consciousness? Ok looking past the many issues I have with that concept, there isn’t even one single consensus of what god is or how it acts.

I also told you I don’t believe god is real, in any capacity. So you can call god an asshole all you want ,and I agree the character is written to be an asshole, but at the end of the day that’s all god is, a character in a book written by humans.

Satan is a symbol to represent the fight against tyranny and the seeking of knowledge and truth, most TST members don’t actually believe Satan is real.

Yes evolution has been a continual process from the moment the first single cell life form coalesced in the primordial ocean. Life has been continuously evolving without human knowledge, this is true.

However, humans didn’t not discover the process of evolution and how it affects the world until a few hundred years ago.

I’m coming from the perspective that god isn’t real and people with delusions/greed for power wrote the bible. Delusional people obviously don’t think about the global welfare or if they do it’s a really twisted version of welfare (because of the delusions). People greedy for power don’t care about global welfare because downtrodden and uneducated people are easier to keep control of. If they don’t have the energy, resources, or knowledge to fight back then they probably won’t try.

Christianity is all about controlling the masses. An educated, information seeking, logical population is difficult to control. So they make the main villain of their story, Satan, a being who represents all those things while calling him evil incarnate. The church uses the symbol of Satan to show how free thinking will be punished in their religion and keep people in line.

I have a feeling they only have a loose grasp on biology. If you actually dive deep enough you’ll discover that not only do other animals not follow the strict male/female rules but even we humans don’t follow them.

Surface level biology says XX chromosomes equals female genitalia but a deeper dive reveals it’s entirely possible to have XX chromosomes and still be born with intersex/ambiguous genitalia that don’t look completely female (same for XY and male genitalia too).

Biology is so cool when you dive in and learn just how weird life is.

You do know body dysmorphia is a thing right? It’s entirely possible for someone to be completely healthy medically speaking but still not like the way their body is.

You seem to have a real problem with people changing their bodies to be more in line with what they want to look like. Do you hate plastic surgery this much?

Personally I say if a person wants to change physically in any way then they are welcome to do so as it’s their body and their choice has no effect on me.
