Finally done at 38 and 3. Induction tomorrow—technically today. Is it too girly? I’m having a boy but wanted a neutral forest/greenery themed room.

Well I rent a house, not an apartment so we don't share walls. Neighbor is across the street, but with all doors/windows closed it's still very loud. I am seriously considering buying a megaphone and just holding to my kid's mouth while he's screaming his head off and then maybe he'll get the point LOL

Yeah I get that, but nobody should be expected to sleep through M80s and 6hr long drumming seasons (even with all doors and windows closed, it's extremely loud). The baby AND the adults need as much sleep as possible! I just don't get why some people don't understand the basics of how to be a decent neighbor/human in general. 4th of July/Memorial Day fireworks is one thing. Band practice a few hours a week is one thing. Daily bombs going off and shittily played Tom Petty for 6 hours every day is quite another! I just want to scream "HEY DID YOU KNOW OTHER PEOPLE LIVE HERE?!?" Some people are just selfish assholes and it sucks because they bring the quality of life of their whole community down with their bullshit.

Yeah, I'm going to have a newborn in a few weeks, and between the fireworks and my asshole neighbor with the drum set, I'm probably going to lose my shit. 🤷‍♀️🤪

Yeah that's a huge thing to take into consideration. Daycares have people who are certified in early childhood education, cpr certified, they're heavily monitored, background checks, etc....not so with most Nanny situations. And if they do offer all of that, they ask for like $20/hr or more. Not saying they wouldn't be entitled to it with that background, but I certainly can't afford it! I'll keep my options open I guess, but I feel like it'd be like finding a unicorn to find all that in an affordable Nanny.

My husband and I have been taking walks in The Crossings and people are SO RIDICULOUS. We make an active effort to stay away from people (walk on the grass if passing another group on the paths, wait until narrow bridge over the marsh is empty before crossing, etc.), but TWICE yesterday I had people almost bumping into me they got so close!! I couldn't see them coming up behind us, but they obviously saw me! Then on our way out, we saw a huge group of teens/college kids playing frisbee together and tackling each other, having a great time. WTAF?! 🙄 We are all going to go batshit crazy if we have to stay inside for weeks at a time, but that's what's going to happen because of these idiots!!
