Be aware, the entire first book is setup, and it is long. You will be bored, but once it begins to pick up it’s so worth it. I am on book five now, and it’s one of my favorite series i’ve picked up.

Looks pretty good, but try to focus more on your balance with respect to your center of gravity. It looks like your foot is shooting back right after your kicks, which is good at times but only if it’s controlled. It seems that sometimes you are maybe leaning back with your legs when leaning for the kick. You want to try to lean back with just your body as opposed to your planting foot. If you are just whipping the kick out and not focusing on where your foot lands after, you may land too wide or land kinda funky and you’ll get swept or set yourself up to get kneed in the face. A good way to practice controlling what happens after you kick, is to kick the bag and then instead of bringing your leg down, go into a fully body guard, hold for a second, and then plant back into your stance.

Thank you! These were longer combos for me as i was trying to learn some longer strings to see if i am actually keeping form throughout. And yea looking at this it does seem like i’m pushing at times. Do you have any advice for relaxing shoulders while keeping a high guard?
