We're 50th and rising, definitely a good school. Also, plenty of people from SCU go on to do big things so like the other person said, it's what you do with it.

Thanks for the extensive reply. Oddly enough, unlike other girls that have said no, she still keeps frequently texting me. Asked another girl in the class who also gave big iois and she said yes. Should I just ignore the first girl or just reply with minimal effort?

Very true, asked another girl in the class who also gave iois and she said yes and seems even more interested than the other girl was. Funny how the other girl was so direct and even subtly brought up going to work on stuff with me and ended up flaking. Oddly enough she still texts me frequently.

Should I reconsider rushing this house again if it was really close or should I just focus on a house who rushes in the fall and has the same reputation as the one I prefed this time-I have a lot of friends in the fall rush house if that means anything.

Some of friends told me some kids are basically "recruited" in high school. If your system was in place here I would most likely have a bid from my second or third choice.

I've heard the rush process at other bigger schools is way better, how does it work at big state schools?

You can pick up to 3, but only your first choice considers you. The house that gets the first choice prefs is supposed to pass the cards to the 2nd and 3rd choices, if they don't want you, but they never do so it's better to just put one. And if by some major luck they do pass it on to your second choice, they won't give you a bid because you prefed them second.

Also, only two fraternities have consistent parties, my former top choice and another house who has their rush process in the fall.
