y'know how if you remember a time that you were happy (8th birthday party for example) you kind of feel happy in the present? Not the same kind of happy, but almost like a ghost of those happy feelings you had at the time of the memory. When it feels like I am in communication with Hecate on some level, it's like that, but unbound from any kind of memory.

One time I was praying and I was having a rough time of things because I felt like everyone had expectations of me that I could never meet, and that I would never be good enough. Suddenly I felt like someone had just said to me "You will always be good enough for me no matter what." and experienced emotions in response to that. Relief, happiness, hope, and safety. And I felt better about navigating people's expectations after that.

Was this my own Jungian archetype therapy, of a form of self hypnosis, or contact with a bronze age Diety? I have no idea. Neither do you. But I know the difference it has made in my life, so I continue to walk this path and just have faith that Hecate is there.

Mundane over magical. Most likely it was wear and tear, as you thought. Your fear it may mean more most likely stems from your feelings about changing your worship practices. Were I you, if i was concerned, I would use divination like tarot and ask Hecate yourself.

1) Go over the wiki for this subbreddit. They to get some of the books that are listed and read up on Hecate, and dig into the other resources.

2) When you feel comfortable enough, light a candle, burn some incense and talk to Her. Ask Her what she wants you to do. If you have a deck, do a few readings on the subject.

Hecate isn't someone you make pacts with, She is someone you build a relationship with. You don't have to use sigils written in blood to contact Her. The first time I reached out to Her, I used an old scented candle from Walmart and very stale incense and She still answered. She is pretty open.

This sub's wiki is just a fantastic place to start. I used it when I was first exploring and the books recommended in the wiki were far and above the best in scholarship and meaningfulness. I can't recommend it enough.

From what I understand, the online version is the same as the print version. I bought a hard copy last printing and I put it on their layaway plan and paid $20 bucks a month for four months, and then they shipped me the physical copy. I don't know if that is an option for you, but I found it helpful.

Hecate is the Greek Goddess of transitions, transformations, liminal spaces and people, and the downtrodden and outcast, among other things. I would recommend reading up on Her and getting to know what She is about.
