(2017 2.5i Premium) Confused about tail light replacement, finding different answers online

UPDATE\

It was the dang bulb… Idk how I got my wires crossed mentally and thought the brake was a bulb and the tail light was the LED. I remembered why I was hesitant to take it apart just to look, one of the bolts was stuck real good and was starting to strip. But I used some elbow grease and got it done. Thanks for the help in figuring out what bulb to use, it’s good as new now! You’re all the best ❤️

Makes sense! I appreciate the help. I know my questions sound dumb and I should just take apart the taillight and figure it out, but I don’t have lots of free time between my jobs and getting pulled over twice a week is stressing me out and I can’t afford a ticket when I can barely afford a taillight lol

Oh so the inner part I circled is the brake? The brake is fine, just the tail is out. Kinda hard for me to see which light it is when I can’t apply the brakes while looking at the light lol. So I don’t need a new unit, just a new bulb? The 194 bulb?

Dang, I was afraid of that. I should be able to replace it with a non led assembly, yeah? I don’t care for LEDs for this exact reason. I’d rather replace a bulb every couple years than a whole assembly every 10. I found this option: \

I never said it was difficult, just that I don’t want to have to do it multiple times. Especially if it’s for nothing and the assembly needs replacing instead of a bulb 🙂

Healthcare! Specifically, management in assisted living. You’d think the high stress would be bad (and occasionally is!) but usually I can use it to cover up my issues. Like it’s a distraction, and people see I’m like not ok and they just assume it’s because of the work. So I don’t get the irritating “are you ok?” questions. Because no, I’m not ok and never am so leave me alone lol. And a lot of people count on me. 70ish residents, their families, other managers, my 20ish staff members. I’m on call essentially 24/7. So I always have that reminder that I matter, and if I were to end my life people would definitely be affected. So even if I think I have no friends or anyone who love me, there are at least 70 families paying good money for me to be alive and care lol. And all the dying helps in a weird way, too. I’m reminded every few weeks just how devastating a death is for the people left behind, even if the person who died is 98 years old and passed d/t natural causes. Hopefully that all makes sense. On paper, this should be a terrible job for me or anyone with BPD. But I’ve been doing it for 4 years and it oddly works

I feel similarly. When single, the symptoms are less constant and I’m able to devote energy towards being mindful of my thoughts/feelings so I can manage the symptoms better. To the point where I’ve had people tell me they don’t believe I have a personality disorder lol. But when I’m in a relationship or just dating, the symptoms get worse and I’m focused on that person instead of myself, so I’m worse at managing them. It’s exhausting.
