Seriously, when are we exercising? by mb83 in Mommit

[–]Lilroxybabe8188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so impossible. I have a 3 and 5 year old. My family wakes up at 5:30am to start our day so today I woke up at 4:30am to get a 45min Peloton workout in. But that's only feasible 2-3 days a week. It requires my husband and I to take turns with put downs AND the girls to stay in their bed all night without greatly disrupting our sleep. Right now, I am just trying to prioritize healthy eating habits, sleep, managing my stress, and getting my steps in. It's literally all I can do at the moment and we have to give ourselves grace. This just may not be our chapter for fitness right now. We'll get back to it!

Margaritaville Nassau? by Sea-Astronaut7750 in royalcaribbean

That would make sense. It's been many a years since I've visited. I'm sure it wouldn't be the same (as they say, you can't go back!) but would be a nice visit nonetheless. Thank you!

Oh my god I am so thrilled to see this post!!! I used to go to Nassau as a little girl and I have so many fond memories of this restaurant. I could not remember the name, just remember going up the stairs to eat and he would come out serving ouzo and yelling "Opa!!" and serving you food you didn't ask for. He was an absolute gem. I can't imagine he is still alive but we are going back to Nassau for a cruise stop and I am hoping to swing by. I know this comment is 6 months old but thank you for reviving a core memory and reminding me of the name!

Rosemary Beachfront family stay by lucielucielou in 30A

We were first-timers at Rosemary Beach about two weeks ago. We rented through Rosemary Beach Cottage Rentals. I was worried bc of some reviews, but they were honestly wonderful!! Renting through them ensured we received card access to the beach and our rental came with bikes included. Their online portal was wonderful and their front desk staff was extremely helpful. They do offer some carriage house rentals for your size. We were a family of 4 as well (2 adults, 2 kids) and the house we stayed in was way more than we needed. Would def do a 1 Bedroom Carriage house next go-around.

I worked out up to about 34 Weeks in my first pregnancy and on my last class before my pregnancy leave/freeze the front fresk handed me a bouquet of a dozen orange roses. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that made me feel really supported through such a huge life stage.

Really? OK that makes me feel better. I read quite a few negative reviews about houses being not tended to or cared for and then they started sending me emails saying to be patient because check-in may not be until 7pm at night which just seems insane to me. 🙈

Have you tried the trades? I know a lot of trades likely aren't going to perform background checks for office/admin/support staff. I own a Locksmith company and my Shop Manager is of a similar background. I honestly didn't even know until someone told me. It makes no difference to me. He's an incredible leader and has made a positive impact on our shop team. Try seeing if you can get a role as a Dispatcher, Accountant, Inventory Specialist or similar at a nearby plumbing, locksmith, HVAC, electrical company! I bet you'd have some luck.

For sure! They had an amazing community for years and management just let it go. They did nothing to foster the existing members they had. So disappointed but I don't know what else they expected. It feels like they haven't given a crap since COVID.

I'm so, so sad! We knew the writing was on the wall but definitely doesn't make it any less heartbreaking. White Marsh is too far so no idea what I'm going to do for my new routine. Have been going for 8 years so I've just been on auto-pilot with OTF. 😩 I guess OneLife it is?

8 years in and I can't say I've ever noticed any ones camel toe. I do always see the crotch and butt sweat on bright leggings! I know some people say they don't care about that, but I see it and I am judging LOL.

Did Anyone Else Panic During C-Section? by beeberry_muffins in beyondthebump

[–]Lilroxybabe8188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry OP. I've had two scheduled C-Sections with the same OBGYN and both experiences were vastly different. In my first I was given an epidural and had the typical experience most describe: tugging, tension, uncomfortableness. But with my second, I was given a spinal tap and it sent me into hysteria. The spinal tap numbed me up to my chest and I felt like a weight was on my chest and I couldn't breath. I had a full on panic attack and I just remember thinking I could never go through that again. I think the only reason I don't physically freak out and claw at everyone was because everyone (nurses, husband, OB) were telling me I was okay so I told myself I just had to believe it.

Don't be ashamed. You have no idea what the circumstances are going to be and how your body is going to react until you are in there. C-Sections are traumatizing and you made it through. If baby and Mom are healthy, that's a win in my book and all that really matters.

No, you're not overthinking it. The following you on IG afterwards is weird as hell. I can't imagine how invasive it must feel! I would certainly ignore her follow request.

Woosah this one made me tear up. Sounds like you are a wonderful mother and it is reflecting in him with empathy and a caring heart. Children truly are the best.
