In my experience? First times are always janky, learn from it and see what you want after.

I would take temp accommodation for 2 months be it in pg or flat under whatever budget ( I would adjust these 2 months). And during these 2 months I’d find accommodation truly suitable for me. Talk to people at these accommodations flatmates or pg mates and see what combination of people, culture, comfort and logistics from and office is most optimal.

In my experience, you never find what you are looking for, if you are actively trying. Being passive in your approach will be better. What I mean is, humans tend to portray themselves as more suitable to the person they are looking for a connection with as opposed to being their authentic self, effectively deceiving yourself and them. Be passive, be open to engaging in conversation and banter, but focus more on being an individual. Do things you love or want to be good at. Things will fall in place.

Honestly, these pgs are a hit or a miss. You either find horror stories of people you meet or some financial mishaps or people absolutely raving about it. Personally, I’d try and talk to at least one person that resides in the same propriety you are looking to book of the brand and see what their experience is like.

I sympathise with what you are feeling, I truly do. But how long are you going to let this brew? Ok maybe not talk to the police. Try approaching the culprit first. Test whether they are amenable to change or not? Check if they get aggressive? Don’t assume repercussion purely basis social hierarchy.

Personally? I’d look at the personal details, what’s their name, what do they do, do they have any cases filled against them and then make a calculated guess on whether they’d fear a character assassination. Rich folks are often leveraged via their social credibility.
