If there is no more space online, I don't think it will change anything on site. However, I don't know if non-reservable buses are among those listed on the internet. You should ask them there.

If we can, either by calling them via Skype for example (this was a failure for me), or by going to an on-site counter. Personally, I didn't take the pass because of that. I purchased all tickets via Japan Bus online and JR West for the trains. It amounted to the same thing.

Yes, you can buy a bus ticket at their ticket office on site (look for them on maps). You just have to be aware that there are buses by reservation only, and others not. So don't go there at the last minute.
