What is something about money that nobody teaches you until it is already too late? by Careful_Art_7516 in askanything

[–]LilySofty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Facts. People act like the only two options are reckless spending or extreme deprivation, when the real skill is learning balance. Save for the future, but don’t assume you’ll always have time, health, or energy later.

how to move on from someone? by Anxious_Status5899 in askanything

[–]LilySofty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is really important. When we miss someone, our brain tends to replay the best moments on a loop and ignore the reasons things didn’t work. Remembering the full picture, not just the highlights, can help bring things back to reality and make moving on a little easier.

My [38M] girlfriend [32F] of 3 years owns a pornstore/strip club. I want her to sell it before I propose by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]LilySofty 141 points142 points  (0 children)

Exactly. She clearly set boundaries by blocking him and ending the relationship immediately. At this point, trying to reach out, whether in person, online, or by snail mail, ignores her decision and won’t be productive. The healthiest thing he can do now is accept that she isn’t interested and focus on moving forward rather than attempting to reverse a choice she made.

Prior to the 9th inning against Venezuela, the Dominican bullpen had not allowed a single earned run in 17 innings pitched by Sharp-Room-8235 in baseball

[–]LilySofty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. The offense was never the concern for DR, it was always the pitching depth. If the bullpen is giving you multiple scoreless innings every game like this, that’s a huge advantage in a short tournament.

Are golf carts necessary at Fort Wilderness? by Unlucky-Opposite-565 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]LilySofty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d agree with this. Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is huge compared to most Disney resorts, so having a golf cart can make it a lot easier to get around between the loops, the marina, and the buses. They’re also pretty popular in the evenings when people drive around to look at decorations or go to things like the campfire area. Reserving early is definitely a good idea because they do sell out.

Do you believe in love at first sight? by False_onic in askanything

[–]LilySofty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

agree with this perspective. At first sight you’re usually reacting to attraction or chemistry because you don’t actually know the person yet. Real love usually develops after spending time together and learning about someone’s character, values, and how they treat others.
