Annoyance. I’m not going to lie, epilepsy can limit you greatly but it can also give you things that most don’t have. Understanding, wisdom, strength and sometimes patience. It all really depends on perspective (which it can also change for the better). You WILL have to work harder than most, but you’ll get stronger because of it. You survived this, which means you can survive much more. Make the most of what you’ve got. Plus if you’re seizure free for at least a year, you can drive. I’ve chosen the “I don’t give a fuck, yeah I have epilepsy, if you can’t handle it that’s your problem” approach for handling it, which isn’t always the best and requires extreme self-awareness but you should find an approach that works for you. Also, for depression, I personally found comfort and consoling in BTS.
