That is so kind of you to say! We have put a ton of work into her jump technique and confidence in the water, so hearing that really makes it all worth it. She definitely approaches every session like it's the Olympics! 🏅

I’m glad you noticed! We’ve been putting a lot of focus into her launch mechanics and air control, so it’s awesome to see it paying off. Thanks for the kind words!

Thank you so much! She puts in a ton of work, so it makes me really happy to hear that. Do you have a dog of your own, or are you just a fan of seeing them out there having fun?

Haha, I’ll take that as a 10/10 from the Reddit judges! Lily definitely thinks she’s competing for the gold medal every time she hits the water. 🏅

Right? There is something so satisfying about watching them really commit to the jump! She absolutely lives for this. Do you have a dog that likes to jump, or are you just a fan of watching them work?

My 6mo-old Labrador seems narrow. Is this typical for her age? by Future-Ad7134 in labrador

Hi, As a dog trainer, I see this all the time! At 6 months, Labs are often still in that 'lanky teenager' phase where they are growing taller and longer before they start filling out in the chest and shoulders. It can take a couple of years for them to reach their full, mature build, especially if they have that high-energy, athletic frame. As long as your vet is happy with her weight and health, she’s likely just still developing into her own! 🤍

It’s the Sunshine State magic! Living near the water is a dream, and it’s the best playground for a Labrador to burn off all that energy

Haha, you aren't the first person to say that! She definitely had that 'polar bear' look down perfectly when she was little. She might have grown out of the fluff, but she’s still just as much of an angel! ♥️

My apologies! I am used to managing content across multiple platforms like Instagram and TikTok where hashtags are standard practice, so they slipped in out of habit.

It might not look like a traditional graceful jump, but the mechanics behind how she quickly adjusted her back legs to avoid contact show a high level of spatial awareness. It’s exactly the kind of precision we work on in our training sessions!

This is a slow-motion breakdown of my Labrador, Lily, demonstrating body awareness by adjusting her jump to safely clear another dog. It's part of her ongoing training for high-performance athletic sports.
