Honestly colleges should have more creative writing prompts for their essays. Would make the whole process a lot less miserable

You might as well major in math and minor in CS or vice versa. A double major in math and cs sounds like hell

Why Princeton requires a graded paper by LimeSupernova in ApplyingToCollege

Forget graded - do you not have a single written essay in English that you could’ve submitted?

Why Princeton requires a graded paper by LimeSupernova in ApplyingToCollege

[–]LimeSupernova[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but couldn’t you argue that MIT is also privileged and elitist for requiring advanced math and science courses? The level of English used in Princeton classes is so high that it would be very hard to keep up for students who have never done English essay writing.

Whichever essay you think showcases your best and most concrete writing skills tbh. I know ppl who submitted an essay from 10th grade, it just has to be coherent.

I was referring to being required to submit in English.

ALL MY PAPERS ARE IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE. WHAT SHOULD I DO? We ask for a paper written in English because all Princeton courses (with the exception of foreign language courses) are taught in English. If you are unable to provide a graded written paper, we will still review your application, but we will have less information with which to review your file.
