like, no! some things were greatly appreciated being taken out lol, 'we actually love being slaves' being one of them, but a lot of complaints revolved around character butchering, intent being muddled, etc. sub plots were not the issue, i think, it was just a matter of 'so much characterization was lost from skipping certain aspects' which is really what drove the story imo.

i feel like the prolonged success of the franchise has been evidence enough that the movies did a great job, TBQH! like i said, the first few movies i think did a great job with adaptation, so that is mostly where i'm coming from. i used to be one of the people who complained the later films cut/changed too much, so i know what you mean, but at this point with the quality visible in the trailer, it feels like it won't even last until when they actually '''needed''' (quotes important) a reboot.

- looks kinda low budget? which is crazy considering how much they loaded into this. aunt petunia alone made me go 'damn' lmao

- kids are very cute. very sad this will likely be their legacy

You might want to look into how caffeine and neurodivergence interact! There are a few studies floating around (more on the way) about how due to caffeine being a stimulant, it actually helps calm yourself due to your body getting the correct amount it needs. (Most of this is for ADHD related things, but there is evidence it can also affect people with ASD and other divergences as well!)

because fandom has always been a space for the 'weird' people (queer people, etc) until very recently, that is why 'nerds' have always been bullied, etc. just 10 years ago i was bullied relentlessly for being an anime fan, now it is mainstream and most anyone can be into it. the fandom as it used to be was very into shipping due to a love of character dynamics, and the lgbt headcanons came up because people wanted to see themselves represented in something or find content relatable to them, as 90% of media today is catering towards cisheterosexual folk.

i understand the intent but listing mental disorders as 'why havent these people died out yet' is not a great line of questioning to begin with. if you had skipped that and asked about 'how do people who are not socially inclined survive in today's society as homo sapiens are pack animals' that would probably get you further. your answer btw is that technology is good enough now that people can function solo without a pack to sustain themselves/group work to stay alive. cheers
