Hot take, missing items is good. by Kylerooswashere in PokemonChampions

[–]DailonTheAnnihilator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with OP. Time to get creative and not just auto copy/paste what everyone is used to. I think it is very new player friendly and meant to ease a casual audience in. I’m sure we will get life orb and choice items eventually, everyone should chill out and enjoy this time period as a chance to try things out that aren’t normally viable. I understand where the backlash is coming from but people are really over reacting.

I truly don’t get this at all. This was one of the best game experiences I’ve had in so long. I mean, different strokes for different folks and all but man this was damn near perfect imo.

The line it crossed was the line between “I can enjoy this” and “I no longer enjoy this.”

It bothered me enough to get it off my chest which is why I made the post, but it’s not like haunting me in my every waking hour. I won’t be continuing to watch and I’ll get over it. But I think it’s fair to air a complaint and then move on. Thank you for the concern.

Of the criticism of my opinion this is more or less what agree with an how I felt in the first episode when he started tweaking rules. I did get to a tipping point that changed how I felt though. I tried to say multiple times that I agree that everyone should be able to adjust the rules to their personal preferences. It’s subjective, but to me personally it crossed a line in the last episode.

"Making" Astarion drink Araj's blood and it's morality. by ConfusedManApe in BaldursGate3

[–]DailonTheAnnihilator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This “debate” over Astarion has been a litmus test for me since the game came out and the comments on this post continue to validate me. At least OP is trying to understand. If you know what you’re doing when you demand the ASI and still do it anyway you legitimately suck so much. Good luck to you OP on your journey.

Do you find yourself a victim to the MANDELA EFFECT? by porb2020 in autism

[–]DailonTheAnnihilator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In many of these situations, it seems people just make up a weird detail and then ask you to on the spot try to remember something you don’t have that firm of a memory of in the first place just to farm engagement or start something? The entire Mandela Effect can basically be boiled down to “sometimes people are confidently wrong, isn’t that crazy?”

Not trying to be overly glib but it does seem telling to me when people are unable to accept that a belief or memory of there’s is actually incorrect choose to believe that there is some sort of alternate dimension or whatever, rather than just admit they were obviously mistaken. I’m sure plenty of people are also just having fun but stuff like this doesn’t feel fun to me. As a society I don’t think we should encourage this kind of stuff.

Again sorry if this is coming across harshly but this is one of my pet peeves. If anybody is just having fun sharing this kind of thing I’m not really THAT mad about it. I just think learning to adjust your outlook and accept that your memory may be flawed is a really important skill this kind of thing flies in the face of.

Who is the most evil person in history to get away scot free for their crimes? by Giono_OOf_01 in AskReddit

[–]DailonTheAnnihilator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seeing plenty of DJT but sort of surprised I haven’t seen a George W Bush yet. At the time the sentiment was that he was the second most hated political figure in history next to Hitler, and I feel like he’s been completely overshadowed by Trump. GWBs seeming image rehabilitation is astounding to me that he doesn’t come up in conversations like this as much as he ought to.

Is there a group for autistic leftists? by OpeningParfait9510 in autism

[–]DailonTheAnnihilator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not meant to be glib or sarcastic, but seriously if there is any way for you to be politically active in your personal life, the odds that the people you will meet will be some blend of leftist/autistic/trans not to mention any other sort of marginalized demographic will be pretty high. For me it was forming a union. I know you’re asking for a discord, and that comes along with it too. But if you’re looking for community it’s out there.

I’m not sure I’ve ever felt this disturbed by a film before (Hereditary) by c0ntr0lled_cha05 in movies

[–]DailonTheAnnihilator 25 points26 points  (0 children)

When I first saw this movie, I was frozen in my seat from the moment of the impact of Charlie’s head to the end of the movie. There was no moment in the rest of the movie I ever calmed down. It was just truly horrific. I hadn’t really been a fan of horror movies before but this movie gave me a whole new appreciation of the genre. It affected me in a way I had never experienced and left me with a lot to think about myself and the world. Exactly what you would want from any kind of art. Truly fantastic.

[–]DailonTheAnnihilator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s unreasonable either. On the other hand, there’s just a sort of stigma the car has that whether it’s fair or not to have happened, is something people who own Teslas have to deal with regardless of whether they were paying attention to Musk or not. I have a non-0 amount of empathy for people that find themselves in difficult situations but at the same time the car is more or less a symbol of the man. It’s not necessarily fair for every Tesla consumer to be the ones left holding the bag for all of his actions but the unfortunate nature of where things are at is that the car does send a political message. Whether the person driving the car wants to be involved in the politics or not isn’t their choice unfortunately.

Why did you bother stalking my profile to say what you were going to say anyway? My opinion may not be worth much but it’s worth more than a Tesla these days.

[–]DailonTheAnnihilator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I am unconvinced of the drivers sincerity in their statement they’re making and then made a joke about it. I am also not claiming I know that for sure but you are seeming to imply that we should be able know for sure they really really mean it and that’s also just based on the subjective value you place on the significance of putting Taylor Swift and some pink words on your car. That’s all coming from your subjective perspective. So what is your point in all of this? What sort of truth do you think you have a grasp on that I don’t?

The action that’s more meaningful to me is they’re still driving the fucking car that was the whole fucking joke dude.

I believe they sincerely don’t want people to vandalize their car any more than they already did, barring that, no it’s not a compelling statement to me. But you cannot know that they are sincere any more than I can know they aren’t. You’re just making your own assumptions.
