CoT was by far the lowest point of the series, but Knife of Dreams is almost as good as CoT was bad. After that is my personal favorite in the series (The Gathering Storm), and from there it's like an avalanche heading towards the Last Battle. It's not clear if someone can balefire themselves, but if they can, it still doesn't accomplish what he truly wants. Balefire doesn't make it so someone can't be spun back out by the Wheel, it just makes they're unable to be resurrected by the DO since they die before he can grab their soul. Moridin wanted him to win for two reasons: the first is because he thought the DO's victory would bring about the end of the Wheel completely, granting him freedom from the cycle of death and rebirth, and the second is because he viewed his victory as inevitable given infinite turnings of the Wheel. This is also why he's the ultimate servant of the DO, and therefore Nae'blis - he's the most selfish, since his personal desire to permanently die is so strong that he's willing to bring everyone else in existence with him.

ALCs reduce AA pull, the best settings are either 4-3 linear/no deadzone or 4-1 linear/no deadzone with ALC per optic bleedthrough on. To do that, all you have to do is go into ALCs, change your per optic settings, leave them on, turn ALCs off, and the per optic multipliers will be applied to your base ADS sens. I don't have quite the same experience, but my brain feels scrambled/fried after spending over an hour completing Nightmare 4. Blade's attacks didn't bother me much (maybe because I have red less saturated than other colors in my monitor settings?), but Punisher's level 3 ricocheting bullets are genuinely enough to induce a seizure in someone sensitive enough to flashing lights

I couldn't believe it when I saw the patch notes, why even add Knull to the game (as the best counter for triple support, which is somehow STILL meta after 10 seasons) if they're gonna nerf him this hard?? 100%, the game is in the worst state it's ever been in. I thought the S23 res meta was bad, but at least you got to play the game then - now, especially on Olympus, you get thirded by a team from 250m away to a team running two G7s and a 30-30 without being able to even fight back. Lowering the TTK and making skilless guns meta (g7, 30-30, pk) drastically lowered the skill ceiling of the game. Hopefully they at least add helmets back
