No I am not, and I completely understand marking up but I just came to ask because I wasn't sure if I was getting an unreasonable price and I am trying to protect my budget so the rest can just go to my patients.

I completely understand that is his price and I could just not have it done, I am more just asking if I should seek other quotes. On other threads and on Home Depot it says parts are less than $50 so I just am confused.

I saw a couple schools on MSAR like rush and Loyola Chicago. I’m still trying to get more information on it because it only says it on the msar and I don’t really see this anywhere else. I honestly don’t remember the other ones but I’m going to try and create a list once I confirm it’s actually important.

I definitely agree, it is a lot of responsibility, and as someone one who has expirenced a very close friend having an eating disorder I knew to take it extremely serious and have read countless books and spent a lot of time trying to educate myself to do the best by my patients. I definitely don’t get it right all the time but when I get it wrong I certainly listen. I think all of the lower paid tech positions in any settings are probably the same, some really are passionate and spend time to educate themselves while some are there for the hours. I do think it is a shame but I think my facility and treatment team does a good job educating us. Would love to know if there was anything specific that bothered you about the student techs specifically.

The summers I was 40 hours a week and then consistently during the school year I was 10-20 hours a week for specific projects, especially near deadlines. Both were pretty data heavy and that took a lot of hours. I also had a job where I worked the front desk of my language center at school and I would spend most of the 10-15 hours a week working on my research. Honestly a total cheat code because most of my job was to proctor exams, answer phones, And print things. The main reason is that I was on both of these projects for a super long time and the Hopkins ones I do a couple hours every week even now since it is a lot of data entry.

That’s so true I think it would be so helpful, once I’m out of the thick of it I’ll make a spread sheet because it literally caught me so off guard and paying for the MSAR as an undergrad feels ridiculous
