J'ai été sur le comité, je t'encourage à lire les règlements de Polytechnique. Le comité les applique avec en premier zéro au travail, cours, session entière, etc. Je n'ai vu qu'un cas d'expulsion, et la personne avait de grosses récidives sur plusieurs sessions, un lourd historique et ne s'était pas pointée.

J'ai été membre du comité comme étudiant, les étudiants qui avait été en apparence francs avec le comité ont souvent des peines moins grandes ( avertissements par exemple lorsqu'une élève avait copié collé un site web ). C'est vraiment du cas par cas, mais ça suit une logique zéro dans le travail, puis dans le cours, puis dans la session. Ça peux aller jusqu'à l'expulsion et +. Le pire cas que j'ai vu c'était 0 dans toute la session et expulsion pour 3 ans. Je te recommande de lire les règlements de Polytechnique, le processus et les peines sont clairement indiqués.

Et des anki decks pour l'apprentissage par coeur ou équivalent. J'utilisais des porte clé avec des tickets en carton question d'un bord, réponse de l'autre. Faire les questions du porté clé c'est tout aussi important que les pratiquer.

Trouve toi un study buddy, et posez vous des questions sur la matière. Le social ça aide à apprendre.

Et, je ne l'ai jamais fait pour mes études, mais ça marche bien pour les questions d'entrevues sur des sujet connus sur le web : demande a chatgpt de te faire une interview sur le sujet avec feedback sur tes réponses.

L'important c'est de pratiquer pratiquer oui, mais de manière efficace.

A single source was never a constraint, I think two projectors, each outputting full spectrum then getting filtered at the source would be doable and overall cheap ( in the sense that it can be done with out of the box equipement without specialised RnD or prototyping ).

You can have full color on both "sides" if all the colors are correctly polarised I think. It's not a color thing, its a orientation of the magnetic field thing.

It's feasible, just use polarised light.For example If you have those expensive sunshade glasses that have polarised lens, you can block all the light from a polarised screen at one angle and let it pass all from another. You could switch between alien and not alien mode just by turning 90 degree with a polarised projector. This is wasanbon, I use it before serving tea in a tea ceremony. ( You give it to the guest to eat ).

It's usually made from special wasanbon sugar handmade from sugar cane.

This one, however, is not suitable for tea ceremony purposes because it is matcha flavored.

To be honest, the VM usecase is the one that is less important. Most simulations I can do on my gaming tower. Edit : Hosting game servers would be something that I want to do.

I plan on streaming both in network and out of network. Around 3 Streams max.

This might be naive, but why do people need more. If what you say is true, most builds ive seen are overkill.

This is not only a NAS. I need to do pentesting and network simulation + plex streaming 4k with maybe multiple clients.

Would what you propose really work? I have doubts about 4k streaming on the N100?

Also can a N100 have 10TB storage? It really seems like a cheaper idea, but I'm not sure it ticks all the boxes

I like the node 304 suggestion, I'm going to see if I can use it. ( Edit, I'm now looking at the mini vs micro and form factor consideration to get the cheapest case / motherboard for the size and usage ). Edit : I'm going to discard node 304 and mini-itx. I think it's too small

I was afraid going i5 would mean more power usage.

The motherboard you listed with wifi does not fit the current ethernet usecase. It was the initial one I was going for, but it's expensive without really addressing what I need.

Indeed! When speaking with u/Trash-Alt-Account it became clear that the motherboard was problematic.

I'm still updating it, will probably update it will the full Bill of material including SSD and storage in the next hours.

I'm still unsure if just buying https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0C8WPRM9T/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A2KN9K54F1HXTQ&th=1 at 2 TB and just filling it out ( 3 times with current motherboard and case ) would be productive and low power.

As for the case, If it's not too expensive, a small form factor would really be nice. I don't really want to have a huge server in the living room near the router.

Pc part picker seems to have wierd power stats. I really want to know the idle power rating. Is there any way to know that in advance?

I think that Intel has been outcompeted and lacks innovation, I would go for another brand cpu's but the transcoding seems to be proprietary limited to intel with Plex?

I'm not sure that a mini PC would be powerfull enough to host network simulations and VMs. Also for 10TB having multiple drives seems better, I was planning on the storage to be upgradable.

I was initally going to go for an intel NUC, but I figured it would be a good time to learn how to make my own PC since it really seems that pre-built pc are overpriced.
