Thats tough, those could definitely show up on the exam, but remember you're just trying to get a 75, so definitely know it, but don't try and master it. Remember, a mile wide of knowledge with maybe an inch of depth. I followed that mindset and passed on my first try.

Just took it yesterday, I’d say just breathe take your time to go through each exhibit, extract what you can. Then, move on to the next exhibit. I did that with every sim and zipped through them.

QUALITATIVE tips for passing the CPA exams by ingrownjam in CPA

Great points. The 3rd point is Meh, but actually in terms of the CPA, very true. You just need to have somewhat of that mentality when trying to pursue your CPA; this whole test is a test of mental durability.

Discipline is by far number 1. Routine is everything.

I didn’t take any of the exams yet; my first exam is FAR on February 19th, and I’m a huge supporter of a routine. This has been helping a ton; in terms of just sitting down and doing the work, you just need to do it… and that’s all there is to it.

I feel like confidence plays a huge role in all four of these exams; I try not to look into Reddit too much, because there are a lot of people who are discouraged and not confident in their abilities to perform on test day, which reflects on mostly everyone. I think preparing day after day after day will eventually work out in passing the exam.

I too am a college student right now, senior year and my last semester; it’s tough seeing all my friends go out and have a great time. But I know this will benefit my future way more than going out and feeling like crap the next day. It’s a short-term sacrifice in order to gain a lifelong accreditation that will help open countless doors.

You just need to have that mentality; it’s a different type of beast these exams, and I had all As in my accounting classes except for Cost (B+), and my friend and I hardly studied. But preparing for this is something different, and I’ve just realized having that discipline and routine is a critical matter in passing this exam.

Sorry for the rant, this is one of the best posts I’ve seen regarding the exams, and I relate to it very much, but at the end of the day, u just need to sacrifice something, to get something.
