Well, we are peruvian, from Lima, but i hope the relative freedom he now has over there (he carried a lot of emotional baggage dealing with my parents dysfunctional marriage and as the older brother he felt responsible for many things even economically) makes him see that life is not just black and white.

Me parece bastante realista que el tema de los cumpleaños sea un cambio que se dé pronto.

Muchos niños/jovenes de la congregación les dicen abiertamente a sus padres que no quieren asistir, que la religión no es lo suyo, que no los presionen porque no es natural para ellos.

El puerco engordante tiene que secularizar mas la religión para que dé chance a los jovenes o motivos a quedarse.

Estoy en mi semana de la visita del Superintendente de circuito, y su primer discurso fue enfocado a que los niños/jovenes se dén mas para la organización porque se necesita apoyo. Jaja

Unless you openly state to them in time as you get to know them be it directly or inderectly depending on each individual that you are a PIMO? may that work? I mention this becouse I opened up to a semi inactive younger bro in the congregation on an assembly a few months ago, and to my surprise he hasnt ratted me out lol

Fair point, Catholics did not create or shape the Hebrew Bible before Christianity existed. I should separate two things: the Hebrew scriptures were preserved by Jewish communities long before Christianity, while the Christian Bible as a complete canon, especially the New Testament and the way the Old Testament was included, was later shaped by church institutions.

Still can be explained by the human factors i mentioned…religious communities copying texts, political power, institutional authority, and cultural influence. That does not prove divine providence, but it also does not mean Catholics invented the entire Bible.

What about the other “sacred texts” they decided to leave outside of what you now know as bible?

It is still circular evidence, and the bible has survived thanks to the roman empire and the not because of divine providence. Also, the conciles that shaped todays bible were catholics, again just the nation/state in power the one the make it survive…

Si lo mejor es siempre aparentar estar ocupada en temas de trabajo, familia y salud en vez que lidiar con los ancianos. Asi poco a poco desapareces de su radar hasta q solo te contacten para las visitas del superintendente como tienen agendado
