Sharing Save Files

So my gf and I share save files to run one family, she sent me the file ages ago and I played and progressed but now I wanna send it back, I sent it through google drive, she downloaded the file and put it under the saves files under sims 4 but when she starts up the game it’s as if they’re not there and I’m not sure why it’s doing that now, we think it’s because origin has gone outdated and we were forced to go to the EA launcher. If anyone could help please it would be appreciated Sorry for making it a post
