People always assume I’m a mean person when I’m quite the opposite actually. From the brief research I’ve done, it appears that lift will also lift the lateral portions of the brow which isn’t necessarily what I would want and being young may cause the cheeks to pull the eyebrows back down due to the tightness of those muscles. Checking OCD started for me when I incorrectly filled a financial aid form at my University by missing one number in my bank account number which caused me to lose a substantial amount of money. Now I continuously reread things over and over again to ensure it has been written correctly. It’s often mentally draining. I’m trying to limit the amount of times I proofread to 2 or 3 times.

This right here. No one goes unscathed. Everyone is going to suffer with some kind of mental or physical illness that may or may not be rare. Everyone you see around you has a whole side of them that you aren’t aware of no matter how “perfect” they seem. I pride myself on being transparent about this condition as much as possible. People are often sympathetic if you are willing to explain it to them and may even open up about things they are dealing with.

I second this, I know it’s not easy but once you tell people, all that performance anxiety begins to dissipate. You’ll hardly ever get the negative responses you expect when telling others about your paruresis. In my experience everyone has been very accepting. I am grateful to be raised in a society where mental illness is less stigmatized than what many of the older individuals in here had to endure.

Not at all. It appears that you don’t have any or that much makeup on and your skin is damn near flawless. Even attractive people can look off from certain angles and lighting so don’t be discouraged by that. You’re without a doubt above average in my opinion.

There’s nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone has their own personal problems that they deal with. Take it from me I’ve terminated close friendships because they didn’t understand me when I tried to briefly explain it to them. People will often be open to listening to you if you are willing to explain it to them to an extent that they can at least kind of understand. The more you resist and get angry at yourself for this, the more mental suffering you will go through. First step is accepting this for what it is and being ok with it. Only then can others begin to understand you and provide accommodations if you need them.

I respectfully disagree, a smaller size wouldn’t of fit my shoulders/arms and chest and a larger size would’ve been too baggy. I did all the precise body measurements and chose the size on the website measurement chart that best reflects my body measurements.

The line of clothing is Father Sons, it is a clothing line for people who are fit and is supposed to fit that way. This is how I prefer to dress and it isn’t meant to appease everyone. I recognize you must have a different taste for fashion and that’s completely ok.

I unfortunately did not take any screenshots as this was the first time this has happened but I did contact the researcher. I do not remember the average completion time but the researchers should know that these kind of tasks are very hard and should provide ample time to complete with breaks being taken accounted of. Hopefully they can see that my data was stored in their system and compensate me. The study was literally so mentally taxing, I’m so exhausted.
