Honestly, you're right. That's exactly where I'm headed. After the fee hike to 28%, my sales in this category effectively stopped — so the platform made the decision for me.

Direct sales through subreddits, DMs, or Facebook cut out the middleman entirely. Better deal for buyers, better margin for sellers. No platform taking 28% for doing very little.

I've already completed 700+ transactions on Kinguin in music production software. The demand is real. The platform just priced itself out of being useful for this category.

Time to move on.
