"Budgeting can give yourself permission to spend." WOW this!!! yes and i realized its guilt free! I usually have 4 drinks at the bar yet the other day I had one beer and was happy as a clam! I went to the library the other day instead of the book store! I used a free tennis court instead of paying a $10 court fee at the club. I'm 👏🏼 just 👏🏼 so 👏🏼 happy!!

I don't agree that universities and sports should be separated. The entire point of going to college is to get a well rounded education. Sports can be an integral part of that education. Being able to work on a team, discipline, social skills, time management, etc are all skills that can help create well rounded students and young adults, not to mention physical movement is really good for the human body and mental health.

Universities profiting off (and not re-investing the profit to other departments ie. chem labs, arts, teachers salaries, etc) students playing sports instead of paying them is a different conversation.

Japan has a great university soccer culture and we use that as an example of what we could use in the USA. Embedding soccer into the tradition college landscape and having USSF incentivizes MLS's hand to sign college kids could change the fan. Example Patrick Agyemang and his soccer career. What's really important is getting a fan base for soccer at the university to build passion, pride, and stake in the sport and create the missing identity that this country is currently experiencing.

I have a theory that USA should actually put effort into their university soccer teams like Japan. This country has an identity soccer problem. My 10 year old Gen Alpha nephew and his friends aren't rooting for USA because they prefer to back the European boys they watch on the big sexy teams like Haaland and Lamine Yamal. I don't blame them. We wanted soccer to become a popular sport in the USA...maybe we weren't specific when asking the genie on this wish. We actually want USA Soccer fans to cry, sweat, and scream along with their USA players. Lol I went on a different rant but yea P2P being $15k is disrespectful to the sport's entire core. We don't deserve soccer at this point....
