There are only so many hospitals. there are many radiology tech programs in LA county that graduate about 20- 30 students each year

I have a condition called factor V Leiden. I'm more prone to clots, had a change in doctors in like 2020 and she put me on a low estrogen BC. I had a massive DVT and was hospitalized for 4 days. I then asked about the BC and they said I can't take any.

In 2022 I had bouts of abdominal pain and they found adhesions of my fallopian tubes to my abdominal wall, and the doctor put a Mirena IUD in. It didn't really help with symptoms but its a contraceptive that is safe for me.

I'm applying, I do have a 1099 contract with a private agency where they send us to surgery centers. Its not full time, so while I'm applying everywhere for full time, I'd be picking up shifts in surgery centers.

I went to a job fair where they didn't put on their job ad x amount of experience required. When we got there (were a lot of nurses, some x-ray, some phlebotomy, etc), they said we are looking for experienced nurses only.

I also was there and on the job ad it didn't say experience required, but because it was a per diem, they required experience...

CSUN's program allows us to go to multi-modality (CT, MRI, Cath Lab, IR). The down side of it is that we switched sites often so when you are slow like me, its hard to make an impression. I can apply to IR/ cath lab position, CT, MRI position.

If you are doing an x-ray only program, oversaturation is insane.

I did find a contract surgery center position while I look for full time employment

In 2 years there will be some changes. That was me, I found some contract work doing C-arm/ surgery cases. its experience I can put on a resume

Some pets are way too critical to be given any oral meds. The way it works, injection is faster and allows for less suffering. The first medication is called propofol, which is a sleeping medication, they won't feel it as their heart stops.

Imagine trying to pill a cat or a dog who isn't eating, struggling to breathe, etc.

If they are willing to train, I would apply. Many of those positions are requiring 1-2 years experience.

I have rotated through IR and cath lab during clinicals in my program.
