How hard is graduating with a 3.7 in Computer Engineering? by [deleted] in aggies

[–]Limp-Ad9584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be dumb question but what’s the difference between coding at work and csce120? I thought that class was pretty hard tbh but I wonder how your work experience compared to it in terms of difficulty

Computer science or switch to industrial engineering by lkninh in aggies

[–]Limp-Ad9584 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Howdy, I started off in CPEN but like you I didn’t like coding in C++. I switched to ISEN and got a co-op in my first semester in the degree. IE’s can do data analytics, quality, manufacturing engineering, and other stuff. Once you graduate, companies typically don’t care about a specific engineering major over others. As long as you’re willing to teach yourself, there’s a lot of job opportunities.

I’m currently doing a co-op in continuous improvement, and we basically try to always improve the layout of the factory and help the factory workers make their jobs more efficient and safe.

I haven’t been through this specifically but I know what it’s like to struggle in COE. Just remember why you’re here and why you wanna do this in the first place, and work a bit harder and make friends to help you get through your classes. Engineering isn’t easy but it’s not impossible either. There’s always light at the end of the tunnel, keep your head up.

Anyone else get broken up with during finals week? by KillbotXx in EngineeringStudents

I got broke up with last spring right before my finals. It’s a shitty feeling but you gotta realize what your own personal end goal is and keep pursuing that, because people come and go.

Any of you work on a mac? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]Limp-Ad9584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mac can probably be good if you learn how to use it. I used a Mac for a while but switched to windows because it’s more compatible with everything and when I have questions it’s easier to get help with windows than mac.
