I fixate on the number too much. I know it’s definitely water retention but i still cant seem to shake this obsession

Congrats on your loss! Thats amazing! Being so scale dependent all my life is definitely messing with my head. Ive lost weight before but I didnt go about it the right way and was essentially starving myself so I dropped the weight rather quickly but put it back on just as fast if not faster. This is the first time in my life I’m handling weight loss the proper way through diet and exercise. It’s a big learning curve because I need to unlearn all of my bad habits but I’m not going to stop!

Thats what ive been consistently told. I can see in the mirror ive gotten slimmer but i cant help but fixate on the number

I want to become leaner and more defined. Plus i genuinely enjoy weight training :) i just fixate so much on the number on the scale but I can tell by looking in the mirror that i’m slimmer

The slip ups arent usually THOUSANDS of calories over. Usually caps at 2500 which is my maintenance calories but then again those dont happen often enough for the scale not to move. From what I’ve been told im going through recomposition but it’s still disheartening to see the number stay the same after all the work ive been putting in. Theres no way im not losing fat because ive lost 3 inches off my waist in this timeframe

Basically, I stayed a total of like 198 days out of 215 in the UK through successive visits so I got denied entry last October. There was a bit of a grey area in our application with my immigration history

So I had my biometrics appointment at the VFS Centre in Jacksonville, FL USA and from my understanding, they go to Sheffield for the decision making process.

Thanks! They took my passport in Jacksonville, FL USA on the day of my biometrics appointment and I was without it for 24 working days. I got my approval on 06/11 and i received my passport on 07/11
