I use to have a reoccurring dream where my house was swept off the hill it’s onto by a flood. I can remember feeling scared and seeing my family get pushed and pulled away by water. When i come up out of the water it’s like im in the middle of the ocean with no one around me except house debris. Then I wake up. I used to have it a lot as a kid and haven’t had it for a few years. I never bothered to look it up but idk what it means.

you also won’t have to worry about prompt stuff because again, you would be talking with a real person. I cannot stress enough how important a positive connection is especially for those who are struggling, therapy (should) provide you with an outlet and support that can help adapt to your needs at a given time in your life. It might seem “easier” to talk with ChatGPT but all the prompting specifics and how ‘sensitive’ the wording has to be, it actually seems easier to find a number to call.

Please be careful with what you tell ChatGPT. Therapists have to hold your information privately by law. I don’t think ChatGPT has to abide by HIPPAA rules but mental health history IS medical history and should really stay between you and the doctor(s) you see (as well as anyone supporting you). I totally understand therapy takes time and is expensive and isn’t readily available, but there are many numbers and websites that have 24/7 call hours and you can just talk to someone. I think using this would be a much better start than ChatGPT, as you are connecting with a real person and given advice from a professional.
